Saw the girl who operates Woodshop Diaries on Facebook/YouTube using this same doweling jig and figured i'd give it a try. This jig is so stupid simple to use, it makes any other jig look like extremely complex. Literally - line it up, drill each board. Done. No fence adjustments, no extra algebra or quantum mechanics needed. Proof positive that low tech is the best tech some times. Quality made drilling sleeve fits the bit perfect. Clear plastic face makes judging depth easy and lining up holes easier. 10/10 product, buying a second in another dowel size.

First of all, this is a heavy duty jig, the acrylic is thick and the dowel jig part is a thick piece of aluminum. There is some weight to this jig. I got this to put some wood screen frames together for a old 50's house that the owner wanted originality. Some were small, some large frames (32"×55"). This jig worked really well and the frames lined up very nicely.Super easy to use, the drill bit was sharp and the index lines were easy to see. The frame corners were strong and tight.I had ordered wood dowel here too but, they were a little smaller in diameter, causing some play. I got some other dowels from a local woodworking store and they worked well with no play in the dowels.So simple to use with great results!

This 1/4” centering bit is well made and works good with clean holes. I took one star off because it definitely clogs more than any other centering bits I’ve owned. (See photos)

Es un producto de muy buena calidad.Un par de observaciones:1. Si lo dejas caer es posible que la sección de plastico se astille un poco, aunque no se quiebre debido a que tiene un grosor adecuado.2. Permite perforar solo a cierta distancia del borde, a diferencia de otros jigs. Usualmente es suficiente para tener una unión fuerte, pero no puedes elegir libremente donde perforar (aunque con un poco de ingenio puedes imaginar algunas formas de sujetarlo y salirte con la tuya).Por otro lado, para la mayoría de aplicaciones funciona perfecto, sobretodo me encanta que es sumamente práctico y fácil de usar, puedes hacer múltiples uniones en cuestión de minutos. Además de que viene con una broca de buena calidad, el collar para fijar la profundidad y la llave para ajustarloLo que lo recomiendo!

If it didn't break so easily, I would have given more stars. Sent the first one back because the plastic was broken in the unopened package. Got the second one and the plastic cracked within a half hour of starting to use it. This is for a wood shop. Needs to be much more durable.

The jig does what it's meant to, made quick work of perfectly spaced holes. The bit leaves a lot to be desired. It gets clogged, which I read happens in other reviews. The spring gets stuck a bit, or the sleeve gets caught, I'm not sure which. The worst thing, imo, is that I had a lot of tear out. Out of 56 holes drilled on one side, over half had tear out that is pretty visible. Thankfully this is for my personal use and not a piece I'm selling so I can live with it but I'm not super happy.
