Light, Compact, And Excellent Image Quality
I have this paired with a Z5. I don't mind losing the pixels to the dx format because I don't need large images, and in fact I appreciate the smaller file size. I love the light weight and small size. Zoom ring is super smooth. I had been using a Canon 10-22 with an adapter - a known good lens, but the IQ of this lens is better. I miss the few mm on the wide end, but really like the extra reach on the long end. A favorably trade-off.One of the reasons I wanted this lens was the in-camera distortion correction. It works very well but not all apps open the RAW files with the corrections applied. Photoshop Elements 2024 (PSE) does open with corrections, but I tried several other consumer grade editing apps that don't, revealing the ample distortion, particularly on the wide end. I use some of these apps so I am batch converting the NEF files to TIFF using PSE, which preserves the corrections, and then edit in the other apps. Windows 10 default viewer also does not display the correction. The free IrfanView for Windows does display NEF with correction. Correction is also applied to videos.

A great wide lens for the Nikon Zfc
I like wide lens because I take photos at car shows Museums and vacations. I'm enjoying the power zoom and the built in anti-shake. I bought my Nikon Zfc because of it's smaller lighter than the camera i replaced. The Nikon kit lens is very good but it wasn't wide enough for my needs. I purchased a Viltrox 13mm F 1.4 lens for wide shots and I was very pleased with photos it took but it was BIG and Heavy and I wanted to travel lighter. I sold the Viltrox to get the Nikon lens which I should have got first.

Great lens for everyday
On a Z30 it works well with one hand with a dog on a leash on the other.

Good design and IQ
I like that this lens both focuses and zooms internally - the outside is a sealed shell which makes it more dust proof and sturdy. The power zoom is well Implemented, has a very fluid, physical feel. My Z30 can also use +/- buttons, which can be set to a glacially slow zoom speed - probably quite useful for video. The mount is not metal, which saves weight for gimbal and drone applications.

Great little lens
This lens has unreal sharpness and contrast for its price. I have used Tokina 12-24 for 10 years with Nikon dslr and never could achieve similar sharpness with my technique being same. Another great advantage for landscape photographers is pretty good sun star @ f11. Flare is a problem if the sun is near the frame and the third party Hood that I bought from Amazon really helped with it. There was no vignetting even with a polarizer. Great DX multipurpose lens
The "power" in the power zoom is silent. Absolutely no focus breathing. While I wish it went a little wider, the range on this lens is really very good, covering wide angle to normal field of view. The ability to program zoom speeds is a neat trick. Optically the lens is very sharp across the frame and in camera corrections are needed due to strong distortions.

Takes great photos but fragile
I loved this lens for the about a week or so I was able to use it. I bought it to use with my Nikon Z30 mirrorless camera, but after just a couple of days of normal use, it began giving a lens initialization error when I turned on the camera, accompanied by noise of the focus motor moving back and forth. Sometimes, by turning the camera off and on or remounting the lens I could get it to work, but then it would fail randomly after that. Very disappointing because I had hoped to use it on a road trip with my daughter. I returned it and got a different wide angle lens. I suspect that the power zoom was the problem. Possibly something happened to one of the limit sensors for the focus motor.
