Adult coloring books and now this for therapy
My adult daughter wanted this for Christmas. She has moved on from adult coloring books/pencils. I was a little skeptical but I recently did a paint by number so who am I to judge?I visited her yesterday. She immediately showed me what parts she had finished and told me how much she loves the detail, sense of accomplishment and how it slows her down after a long day at work. It is very detailed and intricate and much more creative than a jigsaw puzzle. I hope she does more and puts them together as a spring village decoration. I am surprised that I give it a thumbs up for quality, design and beauty. I think she would highly recommend it. She is 41.

Super Cute
I bought this as an activity to do with my 8 yr old granddaughter. Instructions were easy to follow and it was a fun activity.

Really Love This- Buy it
I love this set! Never done one before but it seems like a really good deal for your money. It came with nice tweezers even, which has proven very helpful. The instructions said glue was not included! But it was anyways! Some of the papers even have ruler measurements at the bottom. This was really helpful and thoughtful. I don’t actually own a ruler and was home alone for the week with no car, so it was a lifesaver as this was my designated project for the weekend. I did end up having to buy more craft glue but I also didn’t read the instructions on using latex for the wood pieces and used the craft glue instead. So- I may not have run out of it wasn’t for my own foolishness.I would say everything (so far) is quite easy to assemble. Yes, time consuming, but really fun. I like to turn on tv and listen while I work. I am impressed with how easy it is (for me) so far. Like I said, completely new to this so I was worried it would be too challenging. It’s not. Although I do a lot of crafts already and lots of origami and kiragami.I feel like everything that came included is really high quality. No missing pieces yet. The bird house has a brown too rather than a red as shown, but the paper included that identifies each piece confirmed that it is brown in this set. Not a bother. Nothing is flimsy or easily broken. I’m really satisfied. One thing worth mentioning; Many of the pieces require you to cut out cardboard templates, fold them in certain marked areas, and then fold/glue them into boxes, crates, plant holders, ect. They do not tell you how exactly to fold/paste these. I found it easy to figure out. But maybe someone wouldn’t?I’d spend about 12 hours when this photo was taken. Now I have spent about 24 and I have 39 smaller decor items to build and then the whole putting it together, creating the walls and shelter and such.

Clever, Challenging, and Fun -- But One Big Defect (update!)
I've enjoyed assembling this kit. The plants are quite realistic and cleverly designed. The materials are of good quality. The furniture and other wooden pieces are precisely cut so that they fit together correctly. The instructions are in English and in color, so they are pretty easy to follow, even if some of the steps are tricky to accomplish. I did end up needing more white glue than was supplied to finish. I used my own X-Acto knife and went through three or four blades to get precision cuts throughout the project.I do admit to "plant building fatigue" after making the first eight or nine. I skipped to the end of the plants and discovered that the last half dozen were really simple, so I did those, then it wasn't so bad to finish the complicated ones. The kit doesn't get full stars from me because the electric switch for the light is broken. I tested the lamp without it and it's fine, but when I wired in the switch it doesn't light up. I've emailed the seller. If they send me a replacement switch I can upgrade my rating.UPDATE: The seller responded quite promptly saying “I’ll send you a replacement.” A few days later, I received another complete kit. Of course the seller doesn’t have just the switch component, I realize that, but I was still surprised. In any case, I took the switch from the new kit and tried it with the assembled kit. No good. What? The instructions are clear on which lamp lead to connect to which switch lead. On impulse, I reversed them. The lamp came on. The problem was the instructions, not the switch. I did not have the time to try this with the old switch, I just put it into the new kit and finished the first one.And now to my final issue and the reason for four stars. As someone else points out here, the greenhouse doesn’t fit into the base correctly. The bottom of the house has wooden tabs that fit into wooden slots on the base. But the did not align on mine. It’s possible they might if you take great care to check for this while gluing the house together. I simply used glue rather like grout, running a thick line of it around the entire base of the house.
