but some caps have wider threads and neither replacement cap fit.

These nozzles are great replacements for the frustrating, nearly unusable “safety” version you get nowadays. The sets come with multiple options that accommodate different height molded threaded connections. Also has the drill bit you need for the exhaust port install. Great kit!

The spouts themselves are pretty nice and the correct thread pattern cap was included for my Wedco and Blitz cans. The caps that go on the ends of the spout are gasketed which is nice. No leaks on the spouts and when vented allow quick filling.One downside. On older Wedco cans the original spouts could be inverted into the can and a small blocker cap installed so the spout didn't protrude for transport/storage. These won't work like that and allow use of that cap. You have to keep the spout attached if you want the can to remain sealed.I didn't trust the included vents to seal well as they just press fit into the hole you will need to drill. I used rubber automobile valve stems with the valve core removed instead which provided a nice leak proof seal.

Replace hard plastic nozzle, to flexible

Fast shipping, item as described. One of the caps for the vent already broke, and I'm not sure what the caps with the retaining ring are for as they don't screw on the nozzle, but the other screw caps work. These are much better than the ridiculous safety nozzles that come on the new cans.

These things are really bad. I was going to try it today but before I tried it on my gas can I tried to fit the nozzle cap on the end of the nozzle. This is a threaded attachment and no matter how hard you try the cap is way too small to fit. The rubber gaskets to put in the nozzle cap are way too large and impossible to insert. Did not need the vent but the drill bit supplied seems too large. Not sure if it leaks when pouring gas yet but would guess it probably will. I actually have one day left to return these but I did surgery with my Dremel on a few of the pieces trying to make one fit.Edit: further investigation and I found there are caps without a tether that fit the spout perfectly and the rubber gasket fits well in it. Not sure why the tethered caps are included because they do not fit One other problem mentioned by another reviewer is the neck on my tank is too short so the spout nut bottoms out on the tank resulting in a loose spout and no seal. I am going to try and see if extra gaskets will create a tight seal. If not I will try and cut the large nut shorter with a dremel disc.

I hate the manufactures and government approved nozzles that came with the 5 gallon gas cans. I purchased these to replace them.It comes with two different size nozzle thread nuts and even comes with a drill to drill the hole for the vent. Lastly it comes with a screw on cap for the end of the nozzle so no more spills while transporting. I actually bought another set because it works so great. I now fill up my zeroturn tractor without spilling or being frustrated trying to figure out how the manufactures nozzle work

Good bang for your buck, fits tanks perfectly and secure. comes with vent and drill to place vent. also has a cap for the spout/funnell. prevent spillage.
