cool, requires patience
Was fun to put together and looks good, but takes a good bit of patience to get the colors sorted right and all the little pieces lined up right. I think my kit was missing 1 piece, but had lots of extra pieces so I just used one of the extras in a slightly different color and it's totally unnoticeable. Only problem is that now I want to get the real lego one to do…

great design idea but product issues
I was so excited to put together this cute project. I meticulously sorted and separated all colors to be careful to get the design built correctly but there were too many missing pieces so I sent back the first kit and ask for a replacement. They were great about the exchange. Yesterday I was all set to sort out the pieces for each set in advance, put them in small containers to make absolutely sure I had all the pieces. I got to step 2 and was already missing a piece, not the wrong color or easily could make it up with smaller pieces but I very large support piece. Same as last time once I finished sorting there wasnt enough to fudge the build with the extras. I do like that this build seems to be a challenge because of the color palette and it is more abstract than anything I have built before. I think I may have to give up trying to make this particular project

REALLY small pieces and colors don't quite match design
Overall, I am enjoying this set.I had to make peace with a few things and just go with the flow but it was still a decent build, especially for the price. Putting this together takes longer than you think... which is both good and bad. Each bag "set" contains MANY rows of the piece so you may need a way to store pieces between work on the kit so your dog doesn't accidentally knock some on the floor (that wasn't fun.)The things I had to make peace with to enjoy this:- The pieces on this truly are MICRO. My fingers were the reason I needed to stop and take a break putting this together. Some kits say they come with tweezers to make it easier - mine did not. This is NOT a set for kids or anyone with a low frustration level due to the size of the smallest pieces. Use trays to sort and hold pieces or they will get lost really easily.- The instructions are very compact. Each picture is 2-3 layers of the piece. I would sometimes need to take a photo with my phone and then zoom in on the picture to see what piece(s) I needed. Also, there are some rows that call for pieces with nothing to hook into so you need to remember those pieces for 1-2 rows until you can attach them to something on the main wall.- The colors of the pieces weren't exactly that of the instructions. Example: there are supposed to be 4 different shades of blue (not including the clear blue pieces). There were actually five shades of blue so I had to sometimes improv the design between the close shades. In this puzzle (Starry Night) it wasn't a huge deal once I figured out how I was going to use them since the blues are kind of all over the place. And sometimes my choices meant that in the last row of the pattern I might not have the right size pieces in the closer color. Fortunately, there are extra pieces in the set so I could utilize those (usually the really tiny, one square pieces, but it worked.)- Sometimes the design didn't off-set the bricks from row to row so you will end up with 6 rows in a row with the same design of pieces creating a weaker piece. I would often alter the order of the pieces of the same color in order to make the overall design stronger and less likely to bend along the original planned column design.I enjoyed this, but it wasn't as relaxing/zen-like as putting together a larger brick set for me. I needed to be in the right frame of mind to do it. I would recommend this to people who like a challenge, aren't too frustrated by bending the rules, and are OK making up their own pattern a bit.

Missing pieces
IF you can make it through, the end result is delightful. IF. This set came with so many missing pieces (at least ten?) I was constantly having to improvise or make random color substitutions. It was very frustrating. They do provide some extra pieces, but you don’t know which pieces will be left over (and therefore safe to scavenge) until you’ve put the whole thing together. The instructions could be a lot more clear, especially with respect to differentiating the colors. And it’s very fragile, many pieces are only held on with just one dot, so NOBODY TOUCH IT! I can NOT see an 8 year old doing this without lots of adult help. Still, now that I’m done it looks great.

Daughter loved
My 14 year old daughter is an expert brick builder and she loved this set. It was missing a couple of pieces but I emailed the company and they quickly sent replacements. Great customer service! Would definitely recommend.
