Very pretty and easy to put together. Took me about an hour. This is not large enough for Syrian hamsters, guinea pigs or rats!!! This is a good temporary enclosure for my single housed male fancy mouse. Provided that you put deep bedding, an exercise wheel, hideouts, sprays, and some enrichment. If you put deep bedding pee will not soak the wood!! I wouldn’t house an animal permanently in this as it’s too small but it’s decent if you’re in between enclosures.

This cage is very pretty as far as small animal cages go. It's fairly easy to assemble and is easy to use and clean. Unfortunately, because of the way this is constructed, it's easy for a hamster to escape if the lid is accidentally left open. The sides are too short and our Syrian was able to reach up and climb right over the edge, which led to a 30-minute-long search in my daughter's room until we found him again. It's also just not big enough for a Syrian hamster, but would probably be fine for dwarf or other smaller hamster breeds. The floor has no coating on it, so any urine will soak right into the wood, trapping the ammonia smell. Our hamster has been in the cage for a little over a week and has already chewed halfway through one of the side support pieces down to the screws. Knowing that this cage is for gnawing animals, the design would have been better had the support pieces been on the outside so the animal can't get to the wood. We will unfortunately have to replace this cage soon after only a couple of weeks of use.

What a well thought out and nicely designed small plexiglass house for our little rats. It may not be suitable as a permanent home for an adult rat but is the perfect house for them to visit their grandma for short periods of time. The top part is well ventilated with slats in the wood. It is elegantly designed and beautiful to look at. My favorite part is being able to see the rats so clearly through the plexiglass. It was easy to put together and artistically crafted. I would highly recommend this as a habitat for a being smaller than a rat. Thank you for taking such pride in the design and execution of this lovely product. Well done.

Easy enough to build but pretty chinsy on the corners and screws have to be careful not to bust anything even though cheaply made. If you get it together right? It's very good for the hamster afterward

We were sick of our gerbils chewing up all of their cages so we took the chance on this one!! We love this cage!! The gerbils haven’t began to chew on it and we like the height and size of the cage.

We had this for maybe 2 months and already had to get a new one. The wood isn’t treated so when she used the bathroom it soaked into the wood and held a smell. We tried place mats but it didn’t fully cover the bottom. Also if ur hamster likes to chew on things this was like a chew toy for ours it didn’t even take a week for us to already see the screws showing. Overall it’s a nice looking but the quality isn’t there.

Easy to put together and makes a super cute natural habitat for my hedgehog. It’s wonderful to see her rooting around!

This house is without light and the small house inside next time put pictures with out all of this the one I received it’s only the big house with out any of this all!! If i know that i will not pay it .

The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to purchase this cage because of its small size and because others had received theirs damaged. This cage was really well priced and I loved the design so I decided to buy it and hope for the best. Thankfully, my cage came in perfect condition and was very easy to assemble. I used a couple layers of PlastiKote to waterproof the base and then got creative with enrichment. I also have very curious cats and this cage is heavy enough they can’t move it/knock it over/lift the lid/get claws in etc., so I really appreciate that. Overall, I think it is a great little cage and I am happy I decided to start with this while I save up for my dream cage. I can also see myself using this cage long-term for elderly hamsters or as quarantine for sick hamsters since it’s a great size for keeping a close eye on them and having easy-access for medications if needed. My dwarf hamster seems to enjoy the cage for now but she also has a large playpen and plenty of other enrichment. While I do recommend this cage for quality, aesthetics and safety, it is much smaller than the standard minimum cage size requirements and based on that alone I do not think it is a suitable forever home for hamsters or other small pets, but I still bought it and have enjoyed it for my intended use so I wanted to leave a fair review. Please use your best judgement and prepare to upgrade to something larger if your pet shows signs of distress or boredom. With love, wish you and your pets the best <3

Came as expected, air holes are fine and cage door works just as it’s supposed to.

Do not buy this cage. For the $100 price this cage should be USABLE. The cage was packaged well in an amazon box, with bubble wrap and tons of protection. When i opened it I was disappointed to see 4 different broken pieces. This is due to the clearly poor craftsmanship. We tried to assemble the cage and it was flimsy and ready to fall apart. Do not buy from this listing, please save your money and buy something three times better for the same price. TERRIBLE CAGE.
