replacement on my 40-Gal Bradford-White water heater with Honeywell controller
UPDATE 2024 SEP 20 - after more investigation, the REAL problem was that the old pilot was weak; maybe residue was clogging something, I'm not sure; I replaced the pilot line and the pilot flame was much bigger, circling the thermopile; after that, everything worked; when I first replaced the thermopile, I tested the original one with a lighter, and it was definitely broken, so I think this was a case of multiple parts of the assembly reaching the end of their lives at different but similar times; anyway, for that reason, I am reverting to the original ratingUPDATE 2024 SEP 17 - this thermopile stopped working yesterday, which means that it worked for approximately 5 months; admittedly, it worked well for those 5 months, and it cost only $14; still, 5 months seems short; when I say it "stopped working", what I mean is that voltage climed very slowly and failed to reach operating voltage even under a hotter flame than the pilot; I remember that I tested it when I first got it, and the voltage rocketed under the same test flame; so, it deteriorated over those 5 monthspilot would not hold on my Water Heater (40-Gal Bradford-White water heater with Honeywell controller); I remembered that the pilot was out another time recently, and the LED blinked "weak millivolt" that time; that time, everything restarted normally, but not this time; I tested the sensor with a voltmeter and the voltage supplied when it was under pilot heat grew extremely slowly; together, decided that the sensor was bad; I installed this morning and everything seems to work perfectly; I was not sure until I had it in my hand how it compared to the original, but it seems to be functionally identical, same length, fits perfectly in the bracket; the wires were solid, like the original (so, try not to bend them too much); I didn't like the fork terminals they put on, the original terminals were blade terminals and I wanted to reuse the male blade terminals that were already there, so I needed to cut them off and install my own female blade terminals; still, a great item at a great price; and, for stuff like this, I appreciated the availability of fast shipping

Works perfectly!
This was just what I needed to revive my vent free fireplace. If you're not very handy a warning, this is not the easiest thing to replace, at least it wasn't on my Pro-Comm fire log set. Other types might be easier, but this little thermo-couple is exactly what my set needed. I thought I would have to replace the whole set! Glad I gave this a shot.

If I needed the sensor, I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this one
This item is probably fine. I had to return it because it was the wrong temperature sensor for my unit, but it did look like it was made correctly.
