Business credit is completely achievable!
This book is very in depth with a lot of VERY useful information. I had given up on the idea of building business credit for my business because in all honesty, there is little information out there. This book closed the gap on everything you need to know about how to obtain business credit and use you EIN instead of your SSN to run a business. It's a game changer. The book is detailed and I had to read it twice, but it was worth it and I recommend reading it twice because the second time around you can start doing the steps one at a time as the chapters explain it. By the end of the book you will have everything set up and ready to go to start building the business credit you need. I feel like this book should be read by every business owner as it opens up so many doors to business ownership and takes it to a whole new level.

A Debt of Gratitude to the Author - Great Book for Current and Future Business Owners
The Credit Game: Entrepreneur Secrets to Building Business Credit Without Personal Liability Using EINThe title is a mouth full and the contents are mind boggling. The availability of business credit and the methods of building a strong score prior to incurring any business debt is a priceless lesson in business acumen. Protecting your personal credit from the higher risk business credit is a key take-away for me. I intend to sell my business and do not want to be impacted by any actions by the new owners by any creditors that may still associate me with the business. Even a temporary blemish takes time to dispute and recover lost ground. This book goes well beyond offering incredibly useful information on establishing, improving and maintaining strong business credit. It also offers imperative and sage advice on structure, reputation, choosing a legal entity, establishing the entity in the business community, and to an extent, branding a new business. This little book is well worth the read and as the author advises, read it through completely and then go back through chapter by chapter, executing the steps offered to establish the business entity intelligently to avoid the many financial pitfalls that catch far too many upstarts. Understanding the wisdom of incurring debt for the purpose of establishing credit is key to growth and surviving lean times when economic conditions interfere with business plans. Being selective and deciding before you need the money will help avoiding the wrong type of lender or loan. The advice given by the authors runs the gambit from developing a sound business plan to structuring, determining financial needs, choosing the right source, understanding your ability to service the type of debt secured, reporting, correcting credit reports and alternative loan origination. This book is a must have for current and future small to medium business owners.

A lot that I did not know
After going through this book in audiobook form and having it contain so much that I didn’t previously know, I picked it up in kindle format for easier future search/reference. It’s a 3.5-hour minimal-fluff course in a large number of basic avenues that people looking to start a business can pursue to build the credit (and hence, borrow the capital) they need to operate their new business without putting their personal credit on the line more than they have to. This is for readers who have already nailed down the productive skillset, work ethic, and “profitable business plan” parts of that equation. It also contains some helpful nitty-gritty details like pointing you in the direction of some options to obtain a business address without renting office space. People with an MBA probably won’t find this very useful, but most other people will.

Useful information
There was a lot in here that I didn’t know about before. Like how you can open a 30 day credit line with an office supply store for your business and use it to improve the credit for your business. I wasn’t aware that your business has a credit record separate from you as an individual but on reflection I guess that is kind of obvious. This book is a great guide for how to set up your business in a way that allows you to use credit to grow your business without putting your personal resources at risk.

Easy-to-understand
Though the book is written for the US market, much of what the book recommends is applicable to where I live, the UK. What is good about it is the easy-to-read manner and the easy-to-understand breakdown of the way one goes about setting up a business. It appears a complicated process, and it is, however, the book’s step-by-step approach makes it manageable. The recommendation at the start of the book is to read it twice, the first time like you would do a novel, front to back quickly, and the second time, now you know the story, slowly and in tandem with the process of setting up your project, is good advice. While I have no plans to set up a business, it demystifies such things as credit, credit reports, and such! Always good to have the knowledge.
