My 4 year old granddaughter loves these. She needed some help getting it set up and taking the "gems" out of their clear envelopes and tying the strings when they were complete, but she was very happy making her works of art!

I actually think the age for this could be younger; the box says 6+. Once you tape the the template to the vinyl, a 4 year old can definitely handle it. This is a good craft to introduce diamond painting. It has large diamonds that are easy to grab, there are none too close together, & it's a quick process to keep attention. My daughter does not stick with anything for too long, but she finished a few of these and attached them to our windows (by licking them lol). She felt very accomplished.

Bought this for my 7 year old niece. My brother said she "loved" this. He sent me the photo of these lined up. Totally cute, I was ecstatic the gems were bright like in the advertised photo. I don't know if she will put them on the window so I cannot attest to that quality.

Not all colors are included with the product and with accordingly to their color guide. You get more of the wrong colors than the right ones.

I got this for my kids for Christmas. We initially had to help with figuring out how to set it up but once the stencils were in place, my kids figured out the rest. Basically you get stencils that you stick to the back of the clear sun catcher sheets. Afterwards, you match up the stickers to the stencil. My kids really enjoyed this. It's a great way to get them to settle down and relax when they're bouncing off the walls. I would definitely recommend this kit.

I was hoping the gems would be a clear, see through colored gem to make an actual sun catcher. These won't refract any light from the sun. They are fine if you use them as just a decoration to hang up.

You have to make sure you are pulling the sticker off correctly. I kept peeling off the sticker from its actual adhesive, leaving the sticky layer on the clear sheet. I wanted to get a fun independent craft for my daughter, but I ended up peeling all the jewels for her lol.

Easy to assemble for 3 and 4 yr olds. Problem was they are not sun catchers as described.
