I went back and bought a 3rd pair!
*Update: After months of wear and tear, I'm getting ready to retire my first pair at the close of the year. They held up much better than I anticipated. I really did think the little black treads on the bottom would break/wear off but no, they have remained intact. These shoes have really held up well through my training and 30 races which included 2 half marathons. The rest of the races were a mix of 5K's, 10K's and a couple of 10-milers. It's time to start breaking in my next pair for 2014. :)I thought, "Wow, those are a little flashy for me." I'm not one to wear really flashy shoes but I bought these at my local running store so I tried them on and they felt great. I always look for a few things when buying running shoes: lightweight - 8.5 ounces, check! breathable - great mesh, check! holds up well - I am 200 pounds and run a race every weekend in addition to training runs. + I use these shoes for cardio-kickboxing. I was worried about the treads on the bottom because they looked like they would just fall off. Nope! They have held up well for the two months I have been running in them. So holds up well? - check!I had a great pair of running shoes long ago and looked for another pair when I wore them out only to find that shoes don't stay in circulation very long. I was never able to find them so once I realized these shoes are what I was looking for, I went out and bought another pair for the future. I am even considering buying a third pair as I wasn't aware that I could get these in white. I have been running forever so I know they will be used. The best part of these shoes? I love the low weight and I have secretly come to love the design! Tiger shoes to match my tiger blood and adonis DNA!These shoes really rock!

Great pair of running shoes
I ve been in the military for over 20 yrs, so running is almost a daily event for me. I average approximately 30 miles a week unless I am preparing for a race or something. These are some of best running shoes I ve purchased in the last 5 to 10 years. They are light weight, very comfortable fit and the provide lots of heel support/cushion. I purchased these shoes approximately 1 1/2 month ago and have ran over 130 miles in them. Great shoes so far. If it helps I normally wear a stability shoe and I am 5'7" 165 lbs...

Great running shoes!
I bought these to replace a pair of Wave Elixir 6's that were a year old. I liked the other ones, but I like these even better. The fit is just right for me. I have had them for a week and I just ran a half marathon in them with no problems. My old ones were the bright blue/green which were pretty ugly, these look much better!Note that just because these shoes fit me well does not mean they fit everyone well. Before buying any running shoes, you should go to a running store that can check out your gait and pick the right type of shoe for you. Then try on a bunch of different ones until you find the one that meets your needs. Every foot is different, there is no single shoe for everyone!

Light weight, supportive, minimal cushioning.
Pro's - Super Light, Breathable, Grippy while still having some support.Only worn them for a short time but i feel it might correct my lazy heel strike running as i can really notice when i do it without the usual cushioning of my kayano's.Alot more like a barefoot running session.Final Verdict, Still love my kayano's for the support/cushioning but these badboys will get the go in shorter/faster sprint sessions. Still going to keep the kayano's for the longer endurance pounding the pavement sessions.I did mainly get these for a good draining lightweight triathlon shoe and i think they will be perfect for that.

Great lightweight stability shoe
This is my 2nd pair of Wave Elixir 7s. I was so happy with the first pair that I wasn't even considering hitting up my local running shop for new fitting. I just knew I wanted a new pair of these. Then when I found out there was the alternate color scheme, that clinched it.These shoes are some of the lightest and have the smallest footprint of any stability shoes I've owned (and I need stability shoes since I over pronate). If you're trying NEW shoes, go to your local shop and get fitted. If you know what you're after and have been sized properly, I can't recommend these enough.

MIZUNO ROCKS
I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL DIFFERENT PAIRS OVER THE YEARS. I WILL NOT WEAR ANY OTHER BRAND. SO COMFORTABLE SO LIGHTWEIGHT AND DURABLE. MY WIFE ACTUALLY WASHED IN THE MACHINE ONE PAIR THAT KEPT GETTING DIRTY. THEY HELD UP GREAT. GO TO MIZUNO WEBSITE TO FIND OUT WHICH MODEL IS BEST FOR YOUR FOOT. THEY HAVE A SHORT TEST TO FIGURE OUT IF YOU PRONATE OR NEED STABILIZATION ETC. THEN THEY SUGGEST DIFFERENT SHOES. THEN COME BACK TO AMAZON AND SEE IF YOU CAN FIND A BETTER PRICE. I HAVE EVERY TIME.

Falls suprisingly flat
Everyone will have their own experience when it comes to running shoes, but I was a little surprised with these shoes out of the box. They just didn't have the feel of a new pair of shoes. They felt like they had been sitting on the shelf for a year and had stiffened up. I usually don't wear socks when running and after the first 20 minutes I have a blister to show for it. The whole inside of the shoe seemed to be riddled with seams and edges that rub. I have about 4 hours on the shoes and I just can't seem to get them broken in. I am a Mizuno fan, having worn the Elixir 6 and the Nirvana so this isn't my first pair. Bottom Line: Usually the first run in a new pair of shoes is heavenly. I felt like these shoes were a year old out of the box. I might give them to my son and see how he fares. Good Luck!
