Holes in the Back are for HANGING IN A WALL!!! FIREPROOF!
Good safe for the money. Of course, it is fireproof! The holes in the back are for hanging/placing on/inside a wall. Other reviewers apparently did not understand this simple idea! IT IS FIREPROOF!

great size and heavy
For the price this one is as good as it gets. Excellent size, good to fit every thing like papers and other valuables in one place. It is heavy enough and once bolted down it wont move at all. Compared to the other expensive ones with inside shelf etc, the entire interior is usable. Easy to setup and change password etc.

Home Solution for Small Valuables and Papers
The subject home safe was delivered complete with wall/floor anchors and a silicon pouch. One thumbscrew to fasten the internal shelf was loose and knocking when the package was moved but there was no internal damage and the screw was easily screwed back into its proper place.I initially had some trouble opening the safe and the referenced video instructions were useful as I found that the combination code must be input without any pause to open the safe. After several practice runs, I now have no problems operating the safe. I find the safe a cost-effective solution to hold valuables that would normally be kept in a small bank safety box. A relatively minor nitpick is that the included silicon pouch could be the width of a no. 12 envelope which would lie flat on the bottom. All in all, recommended.

A little awkward to open and a little "tiny".
I think the safe is nice, but I had a bit of a time getting used to how to open and lock it. The instructions were a little cryptic. The safe itself is not waterproof, The bag they give is. The safe itself is made of heavy sheet metal. It's okay, but a little cheaper quality than I had hoped for.
