Super Easy to Use and Works Great!
I bought this for my back door that has see through glass and a square pattern. It worked great! Easy to cut and can be customized for whatever pattern you want. Truly is extremely easy to install, no need to hire a professional and looks good. It takes some time to do it right, but the instructions are great. Getting the bubbles out perfectly was the toughest part for me and even that wasn't too bad! Creates privacy, looks good, and does not fall off so highly recommend!

Just what I have been looking for
I got this for a large 2nd story arched window that was IMPOSSIBLE to cover with any window treatment that did not obscure the shape, and even at that, they cost more than the window. I ended up with an outdoor sunshade that was down all the time to shield from the blinding sun. I didn't like that either, but was the best solution I could come up with - until now!I recently used an Artscape plain film for privacy on small garage door windows, so I knew what the installation would be like and a little about the results. It is easy to install, following the provided directions, and using the small squeegee, also provided. There is no adhesive, so although it stays on securely, it could be removed easily and leave no residue.I did my big window installation on an 8' ladder, and had to use 2 widths of the product, as the window was 6' wide x 5' tall, with an arch on the top half. I made a template with brown paper and then used it to cut the Artscape film. I really like the rice paper pattern, which lets light freely through, but no blinding sun, and also provides complete privacy after dark when lights are on inside.I highly recommend it.

Easy to install, good looking from inside and out.
My desk chair sits right in front of a large window overlooking my neighbors yard, putting me on full display while working. I still get full light from the window, but am hidden from view.

Best Decision Ever - Artscape is seriously top shelf in terms of product quality but also great customer service!!
[Updated review September 2016]I've enjoyed the privacy on my windows in our garage the last year however, the film recently started peeling from the top corner and is beginning to fall. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed.=====================[Originally posted 5-Stars in October 2015]Have to say, one of the best experiences I’ve had - flawless execution, little to no issue what so ever and the end result is outstanding. My goal was to remove the 2” blinds in the garage and do straight Artscape product. I am fairly familiar with how window film works and knew I needed a really clean surface so I proceeded to scrape paint speckles off the glass and any other surface ‘stuff’ then used a non-ammonia based window cleaner to really clean the glass.Once that was done, I measured to within a 1/16” the width and height of each window sash and transferred the measurements to the back side of the film's paper backing. Using a razor knife and straight edge, I cut the pieces to size then using a spray water bottle, added a few drops of dish soap to clean water and sprayed it liberally on the glass and on the slick side of the film and placed the film on the glass. Once on the glass, I sprayed the film some more and using the squeegee I got with the film (thats a great little tool by the way) I gently worked the bubbles out and made sure the film was in place.A couple edges needed a little extra trimming but for the most part, flawless. This is a 2-person job, would have been a real hassle otherwise. My wife & I looked at it this evening with the garage lights on, can’t see anything through the film - what a great product!! During the daylight, the film seems to make it brighter in the garage now too - awesome byproduct!!

Beautiful and a good value
I tested a roll of this to put over a very dated huge 80's mirror in my living room. If you follow the installation instructions, this is really easy to install, even by yourself. The product allows light to reflect off the mirror but the mirror itself is totally obscured (which is what we wanted).A few tips:1) Use plenty of of a water / soap solution. That's the only way you can manipulate the product2) This product is made of plastic, so it did not trip smoothly with my Exact-O knife the way wallpaper would. Therefore, I found it easiest to cut the product to the exact size / shape beforehand. I will use a boxcutter and a straightedge the next time I have to trim any part of the product once set in place3) Make sure you have a good squeegee that can get int corners.

Great for privacy or just hiding things out of site.
This is great stuff. If you have 48 French door window panes, I suggest taking a break. Don't be like me and plow through in one day. Yes, it took almost the entire day. I told myself to stop and take a break, but as usual I didn't listen to myself. I was very proud of how it turned out. The photo is only half of the job. I have two more doors completed. Oh, yeah and I was a bit sore afterwards. Be sure to clean the windows before applying.Hint: the directions are about three feet into the roll of adhesive paper. It really helps to have them out before starting.

Easy privacy
We originally purchased this for our daughter's bedroom. It faces the street and we wanted to give her privacy. It was easy to measure and cut. I used a quilter's mat and box cutter. I didn't read the instructions and didn't wet the window first - it left a lot of bubbles that were a pain! Even so, it turned out great and gives a beautiful look while providing privacy. We decided to apply it to a living room window as well and this time I DID follow instructions, got the window wet. It made it SO much easier, and there were only a couple large bubbles that were easy to remove. So to sum up: quilter's cutting mat, box cutter, and follow the instructions!Picture is from outside looking in at night
