Great Humidifier, easy to use, sleek profile, good customer service
We are pleased with the Waykar 150 pint dehumidifier, ordered on amazon and arrived quickly as always. The unit was placed in the ground level of our house and it brought the humidity level down and maintained an average 45-50% reading. We did not use the pump feature as the reservoir was large enough for a full day's use. We found the unit to be quiet enough and and the design is sleek and modern. After almost a year of continuous use, we had an issue with the unit. Contacted customer service and the issue was taken care very quickly after trouble shooting and some home testing. The customer service reps were efficient, kind and very understanding. I would highly recommend this company and dehumidifier and would purchase the product again.

How awesome to open the basement door and not smell the dampness
Why did you pick this product vs others?:When I clicked on Amazon to look for a good dehumidifier, truthfully there were so many choices, but this one caught my eye for the amount of area it could handle, along with special features which others did not have. My basement is pretty large and, living on Long Island, the summers can create much dampness. I have to say that every inch of my basement stays dry throughout the whole summer. The unit is very quiet and easy to keep clean. I will recommend this very highly to anyone looking to choose the right to humidifier.

Great De-humidifier
Works as Advertised. This is a great unit to use for a Normal size home, during the “winter” months in Florida the humidity can get pretty high due to the a/c not running as much. However my Wife and I got used to the lower humidity levels (set at 45% and cycles on at 50 and off at 40 for an average of 45%) and have definitely noticed a difference when we thought we didnt need it during the summer time. The house is definitely more comfortable and it’s amazing how much water is actually in the air! The pump feature is nice for when we are away, set it up to drain into the washing machine drain so the humidity in the house is maintained.

Good customer service and warranty acceptance
The unit worked well for a while, but eventually failed. We reached out to the support team, and they offered a few troubleshooting techniques and offered to ship a new unit to us. The support was responsive, easy to contact, and had good follow-through, and they honored the warranty by replacing the unit.

Waykar YDZ-150PM Dehumidifier is a Very Good One
The Waykar YDZ-150PM dehumidifier arrived as a re-shipped item. There was a 2" scratch on the control panel, and the pump drain hose was so crimped in its package that water couldn't pump through it. I soaked the hose in hot water for 2 hours and that removed the crimping. I've had the unit running for a little over a week now and it really runs like a champ. It's quiet, very efficient and has done a great job keeping the humidity at the set point of 50%. It turns itself OFF when the humidity gets to 47% and turns back ON when it rises to 53%. So far, I'm very impressed with this unit.

Reliable Workhorse
I installed this in a 4,200 square foot house built in 2006 (doors always opening and closing btw) during the start of very high humidity in Tennessee during the summer where reaching 97% humidity at very high dew points, resulting in incredibly muggy weather. I was seeking to mitigate indoor humidity with a target range of 37 to 45% EVEN when the outdoor humidity was in excess of 90% and dew points in excess of 70%. I measure the humidity in the house using 5 different indoor sensors at various locations on two floors with an additional sensor in the garage. All sensors test plus or minus 2% within each other. Previously, I was encountering 50 to 57% indoor humidity following installation of high end Trane units at a cost of about $21 k (two large variable speed split units on Ecobee thermostats). My 17 year old units that were replaced typically yielded indoor humidity in excess of 60% during high humid months in Tennessee. While the new AC units definitely helped reduce humidity. However, the units achieve temperature set points well ahead of humidity set points, even using the Ecobee thermostats humidity control, which allows for overcooling to either 1) a max temperature differentia, or 2) the humidity set point- whichever comes first, I wanted a lower target number. Keep in mind, this was with variable speed blowers (the longer the unit runs obviously, the lower you can get the humidity). At the start of this experiment, with the new AC units, indoor humidity was constantly a median of 50% or above, depending on weather. In the furthest part of our house above the garage, the humidity often measured 60 to 65% even with the new units. This typically resulted in complaints that the room (666 square foot bonus room) was "hot". We always had issues with this room and comfort levels. At first, I installed the dehumidifier downstairs near a main AC return. Humidity levels dropped throughout the house, more so downstairs than upstairs. At first, I was pulling 3 to 3.5 gallons of water a day out of the air within a 24 hr period (constant running). However, I then discovered humidity rises, which I did not realize ironically. I moved the unit upstairs, just outside of the bonus room, underneath the main AC return, running the unit 24 hours a day. At first I pulled 3 to 4 gallons of water out of the air within a 24 hr period (constantly running). This amount began to diminish gradually over a 45 day period to about 1.5 gallons within a 24 hour period. All complaints regarding comfort in the bonus room ended and I can now set my cooling set points to 76 degrees throughout the house rather than 72 degrees that everyone demanded before. Humidity of course has a direct correlation to comfort. We also noticed the downstairs humidity improved as well, especially with the dehumidifier upstairs. During an installation followup appointment with my AC company, the installer explained that the amount of water I pulled at first was likely pulling existing humidity from the walls, carpet, furniture, etc...... and that the amount I am now pulling is likely the amount entering the house on a regular basis and is now achieving the baseline of 38 to 39%. There is a definite noticeable difference in all the items and carpet in the bonus room. So, the unit has been running over 45 days non stop with no issues at all. The entire house rarely now exceeds 41% regardless of weather. Th one exception is when people take showers upstairs. I notice a temporary spike in humidity levels to around 45% on the sensor closest to the bathroom. My girls will often take 30 minute showers without turning on the bathroom fan :-). The only minor annoyance I have is the design of the water tank and cap. It could be improved as it seems to spill out when dumping the water. But not a serious issue.I provided this in depth review because I spent a few months researching how best to control seasonal humidity issues and thought I would try to save some folks the time.

Waykar's excellent customer service and product quality
I highly encourage others to seriously consider the Waykar YDZ-150PM dehumidifier. The unit was quiet and effective, keeping a large finished basement dry. The pump for automatically removing the water worked as hoped. Turn it on, set the humidity level, and let it do its work - simple. The customer service was absolutely superb. I did run into an issue with a part malfunctioning, and they responded very promptly and resolved the issue very quickly and was very much to my satisfaction. The communication between customer service and me was very clear and prompt and there was absolutely no issue. As we all know, customer service can be a large part of our experience with a product. Waykar's customer service is excellent. The combination of a quality product and excellent customer service are the reasons why I encourage others to seriously consider this product. If I needed another unit, I would go to Waykar.
