Better than expected
I initially got this for a small 5 gal hospital tank but had to use it in a 6.7 gal betta tank instead because the filter I had in there died. It works quite well. I cut some of the sponge to make room for carbon and cotton or whatever that white fluffy stuff is. With just one betta and plants the water stays clean with regular water changes. I'm keeping that one in there and will get another for the 5 gal.Adjusting the internal outflow is a little difficult as others have mentioned but for the price it's a good filter for a small tank. I may try the spray but as also mentioned by others. It can also be a little tricky getting the 2 pieces connected properly after removing for cleaning but I found that to be true with other internal filters as well. This one is actually the easiest of them all.

Nice little pump
Good little pump I wish that things snapped together a little bit easier, but in the end, it works really well

Not worth it
Terrible product. It is quiet but it doesn’t work well. When you go to turn it off to clean it all the stuff goes back into the water so it doesn’t even get anything cleaned.

Depending on need may be good
5 gal, with Betta and platy. I use a cover on tanks so went with air blower set up set up close to top of tank, with flow across the length. My fish did not enjoy the circulation as it moved them quite a bit, causing my Betta to hide at the bottom, so too strong. I attempted to lower the flow and found doing so changes nothing? So I moved to a 10 gallon tank mounted the same way, I noticed a definite circular current, and for a fry grow out tank will be fine as my tank is for corydoras.CON too heavy flow for smaller tank, the impeller does come loose causing a stop, will not be able to filter heavy bioload without frequent cleaningPROS strong flow for 10 or 20 gallon, easy to clean filter, small unit can be submerged and mounted high or low in tank

Not the best
Just got it. Had no instructions with it so I had to use the pictures on here. When I had to move it or push it against the tank for the suction to clip it came apart so I had to take it out and hook it back up. I mainly got it because I needed it for the small tank where I had to put a betta fish in to hopefully save it. The flow is only one setting which sucks. I feel it is too powerful for the poor little guy. So I would say it’s not fit for a 3 gallon tank with a fish that needs slow water flow. So far it hasn’t really done any tank cleaning, just moves the water around. All and all it’s alright, but would suggest you to get a better filter.

Not worth it
When i took it out of the box there was no instructions only a piece of paper with a safety, warning, and general malfunction analysis. When I tried putting it together, a piece broke instantly not worth the money. It’s very cheap. I’m not even gonna put it in my tank because I think it’s gonna fall apart.
