This is perfect.Overall simple design, less stuff to break, battery lasting plenty, sand proof, simple to drive but still a real RC experience. A+++Bought for an enthusiastic 4 year old, so it needed to be above all, rugged. This thing has been taking hits for many many sessions and shows no damage at all. AWESOME.The thing needs to be relatively simple to drive but not crippled like traditional cheap rc’s. Well once again the DeeRc monster truck shines. The pistol grip radio gives my boy a chance to get familiar and comfortable with this type of controller and it steers and goes f/r as you would expect. Only one speed, and the turning is skid steer style so not so precise, but it works and gives the “real RC” experience to the younguns.The battery life has been great. We drove it for over an hour on the beach on a single charge. Really unbelieveable. The key with lithium’s is not letting them get down to zero apparently. Hopefully the battery lasts a few months. No grinding gears or damage from the beach session!!!!!! I’m sold!All for $40!!

My son is three years old and picked up the controls relatively quickly. The truck is four wheel drive and relies on wheel speed to steer, making 360 spins easy. The springs are real and provide shock absorption as they should. I am impressed with the range, battery life, and the rubber accents around to truck to prevent breakage. I have not tried it in water yet. It would be nice if it came with a second lithium ion battery for longevity and for quick return to play. The steering does fall off a bit towards the end of battery discharge as you would expect.

This thing's pretty incredible for the price I crank it around the park where I live near and I drive it right into the pond. This thing can go in any type of weather no matter what, the battery holds a pretty good charge. The only complaint I would have and it's not really even a complaint is that the steering is a little bit tough other than that this is a serious remote control car / boat / whatever you want it to be it will go anywhere

Edit: the company was awesome and, even though the model we ordered is unavailable, are sending us a replacement unit immediately! The process was super simple and they were very communicative. Highly recommend.Original: I wanna give it 5 stars for how much my son loves it but the tires are all misshapen and deflated so it doesn’t drive well. Can the tires be replaced?

We ordered one for our twins' birthday. While it worked great at first, the truck seemed to be "stuck" in the spinning mode. Everytime we turned it on, the wheels would just spin without even touching the remote. So we filled out the Amazon exchange form to get a new one thinking it was just a defect of some kind. However, the new one does the exact same thing. You can't even use it. There were no instructions either time we ordered it either so there's no reference to troubleshoot it. Definitely not ordering another.

The media could not be loaded. We love this monster truck. Great speed, easy to control ( my 3 year old has it down pat) we haven't used it long enough for a battery review but we've played with it for 30 mins straight. The only thing I don't like is it gets stuck when it flips over and you have to go turn it over. Other than that it's a great product.... update battery didn't last but 30 mins

I bought this truck for a foster child. The truck looked great! But would it run? Upon receiving it, I wanted to make sure it worked so I removed the truck to check it out. Instructions for charging the truck were easy. It charges with USB, so no need for batteries. It took several hours (about 5) to fully charge. The remote control took 2 Double A batteries. Once charged, the truck ran great. I didn't run it into water, so no review of that feature. However, the battery case did appear to be very insulated. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Liked could be used in puddles very nippy and easy to use

My 3 year old had great fun crashing this into my feet and then throwing it down the stairs. Worked as intended. Played with 3 times and then back in the box (which is quite a lot of use for a 3 year old with the attention span of a goldfish).

Great truck, moves really well and way better than another similar product we were replacing after 4 year of use. The truck arrived without a charge cable, however contacted the seller directly and got a fast response and the missing charge cable sent out to me.
