Great Image!
I built my own system with Blue Iris but didn't check if this camera was compatible. I didn't see it on the list but was able to find on line how to get it connected. A little frustration at the end, but after going to the cameras ip and changing a few settings I got it connected and working. Great image and low light images! The IR LED's put out a great area, but is pretty focused without a lot of brightness in the corners of the image, but lights up the majority of my yard and even improves the image of some less capable cameras by giving more IR light. The zoom works awesome, but as with all non ptz cameras it is limited to where its pointed. This is a good camera for up in the eves and overlooking a set area.

Great low light 4K camera
Great cameras for my 4K system. I replaced a few cameras with these recently. The old cameras did not have the 4x optical zoom. Image quality is amazing and the night vision is superior to my older 4K cameras. These cameras have 4 IR Illuminators instead of 2. These cameras are much larger in size and required a different mounting footprint. So some modifications were required.Buying the cosmetically blemished models was a good choice. I couldn’t find anything wrong with them.

Pretty happy
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this camera. This is my first install in my home, and while it wasn't too terrible, it took me a week or so to get everything going. The bracket is completely metal, which is a plus, and saved me. My house is a concrete block house, and since this was my first camera I've mounted, I wasn't able to mount it to the soffit without buying something to wedge in between the soffit, so I mounted it directly into the stucco. The supplied drywall anchor / screws didn't seem to be a match as we couldn't get the screw to go in (seemed to be too small of a drywall anchor) so I went with Tapcon. I believe I used 1/4 by 2 3/4 Tapcon, but they were too large for the mounting bracket's hole. Since it was metal, we just drilled a larger whole. Finally got it connected and up and running today though! I'm actually using an Amcrest NVR, and it didn't seem to respond too well to the zoom within the Amcrest UI. I logged into the Lorex camera, and it still doesn't seem to respond very smooth, but I was finally able to get it to zoom all the way back. Will update if I have any issues, but so far so good. Image looks great. Night vision isn't the best, but with three cars the IR seems to reflect a lot, causing a lot of noise within the image (I can live with it though.)

Great quality camera
Camera is great! I compared it to another camera i purchased that had similar specs. this one was great. the other camera was $50 cheaper and PTZ which is why i hesitated when deciding to keep this one. the video quality of this camera was much better and the color night vision showed color at night with less light than the other camera. i have no complaints about this camera. i literally researched cameras for about 2-3 months. This camera made all that research worth it.The housing of the camera is extremely durable. solid housing that seems like it could last for ever.

A poor product- Worse Service- Lorex 8MP 4K IP Security Camera LNB8973BW
PROS:Decent clarity and a sharp image.Good night time IR illuminationI gave it 2 stars for video- - ZERO for warranty and serviceCONS:I will begin by declaring I AM NOT a novice. I have had security cameras/systems for over 10 years and know how to set them up and trouble shoot them. This is one of the various brand cameras I have installed for myself and others.MOTION DETECTION - This camera will detect SOME motion of -very large, fast moving objects-, but WILL NOT detect smaller object motion UNLESS it is very fast, like a bug flying very close to the camera. Even a car has to be very close to trigger the motion detection.Once someone triggers a motion recording, should the person stop for a few seconds and then start moving their movement will be ignored and there will be no triggering/recording.This makes the camera -useless- if you want to record people or similar size objects.WARRANTY/ SERVICE:The SERVICE is a joke. If you request service and get an email response there will be TWO emails. The FIRST email will say that the INCIDENT is closed. The SECOND email may or may not have any information other than the basic -check to see if it's powered on-.Then the arguments begin with the usual request for model number Etc, you answer will be ignored and the same information requested multiple times.NO ONE should have to send tens of emails to even GET A RESPONSE!- I SENT 28- . . . .the do not respond.WARNING!!!!! The 'WARRANTY ?' on this camera states that 'if the camera (or ANY Lorex device' is ever connected TO ANY DEVICE than than a Lorex manufactured device -THE WARRANTY IS VOID- !!This 'warranty' is USELESS unless you choose to buy only Lorex products. In my opinion I would buy a camera from ANYONE ELSE and get a better warranty and a camera that works.Almost any camera will work and be less expensive.

Dead in less than 5 months
This company is not owned by FLIR. A Chinese company purchased the brand and name "Lorex by Flir" in order to deceive everyone. It's owned by Dahua, which also owns Amcrest and has other white label Chinese cameras on Amazon. I highly suggest you don't buy a Dahua company camera. I have an Amcrest and a Dahua that constantly attempt to get out of my firewall and contact Chinese IPs even though I have all services within the software's GUI turned off. There's no reason they should be trying to contact China, but they are to the tune of thousands of attempts per day. The software is very similar between Dahua, Amcrest and Lorex. My Lorex camera died after 5 months of use, so I cannot test it to see if it's also trying to contact China.

Snapshot resolution problem
Don't buy if you want SNAPSHOT resolution higher than D1. Video is beautiful.

Great Cameras!
These cameras are wonderful- able to set the zoom level to what you desire. I switched out some 1080p cameras that were Hikvisions to these 4K ones- the picture is great! With the ability to zoom, and also 4K at 15fps- these are a no brainer for homes.
