The media could not be loaded. Way smaller head than the original one I've owned for 10 years. Great size, and the power is the same. It has a screwdriver option and a medium and high power. Really great design, love the upgrade. I glue magnets to my drills, and it is so convenient. I highly recommend you do that. You just scuff up the plastic and use a impact resistant CA glue.

Perfect power to weight ratio in terms of compact impact drivers. A must have if you’re on the Dewalt battery platform. The analog switch makes it feel a little outdated but works perfectly so not a big issue. Great quality and for the price it really is an outstanding product.

Just love the 3 power settings this model has. Cost a little more than the standard driver, but worth it! It’s also 1” shorter in length, allowing better fit into tight areas. The LED lights are improved also, really helping to illuminate the work area.

This is a fantastic impact driver that is well built, well designed, and has useful torque settings. It feels good in hand and and has good battery life while still delivery plenty of power.

I purchased this drill in August so I didn’t have to bring my impact into the house from my van every time I needed to use it. Which is a rare occurrence. I didn’t really use it until I had a job that needed me to provide a second tech. I figured bringing an extra set of drills for my tech to use would be a good idea. This was the very first use of this drill. I noticed, when in reverse, it would switch to forward randomly and without warning. This resulted in damage to a $3000 piece of equipment. I contacted Amazon for a return as it was 30 days outside the return window. The option was to pay to send it to get repaired or pay to send it back and get a refund. The return price was around $20 with insurance. Which was required. I was not very happy with this as it was a brand new drill with one use on it. They should have offered to send a replacement at no cost. So I contacted a Dewalt representative in my local area. I met with him to take a look at the drill. Almost immediately he said there were some strange goings on. Between the stickers and arriving in a plain cardboard box. He opened the drill and I saw numerous issues. Pinched wires, (enough to show bare wire on both + & - leads. Bearings were different. Solder joints, not complete. But surprisingly the drill had a bunch of “dewalt” components. He said it was not counterfeit but definitely not straight from Dewalt. Not sure what to make of that. I can clearly see altered stickers and the wiring mess inside. I did purchase another 850 from a reputable seller so I will be comparing every detail. So far I can see stickers, bearings and of course wiring quality. I have to setup some equipment still to test torque and the internal module.

Dewalt drill is great and powerful tool in a compact body! Well worth the cost and multi purpose usage.
