I have owned and covered pools for over 50 years. I can say materials wise, this is the best cover I have ever used. I got into the habit of buying a $40 cover every year and tossing it when I uncovered the pool in the spring. This year I figured I'd spend a little more and try to find one that would last. I was suprised at the thickness of the material, but even more so that the grommets were encased in a canvas like material. The grommets usually rip away from the plastic on cheaper covers during the install. Not on this one. We got a new pool this year and I had to improvise on how I usually put my cover on which meant the cover laid on the water longer than I like. Not one drop of water leaked through during that time. Not so with the cheaper covers. The covered wire and weak aluminum tightening mechanism are standard and Ive never used them. You'll always do better with rope. Time will tell how this fares in the long run but from what I see, barring a one off event, and cleaning and storing it properly, there's no reason you wont get at least 5 years out of this in the real world of northern winters. Still cheaper than the $40 ones. Its def worth it.

My pool cover is for an 18’ round above ground pool. I have had this pool since 2010 and have gone through 4 covers so far. The other covers did not feel as heavy and had little reinforcement around grommets. They also tended toward shredding on underside over winter and would dye the pool water so when opening pool the water color matched the color of the cover, usually green or black. This cover was priced less than any cover I have previously purchased but is much heavier and should not shred, but I’ll know more next time I open the pool.

At first we went with the cheapest pool cover. It laat barely 2 seasons then totally fell apart. Paid a little more for this one and I can tell this will hold up MUCH better. Its heavy and you definitely need at least 2 people to install it which was pretty easy. There is plenty of over hang on my 30 foot pool.

It was time to replace my five year old, sun worn above ground pool cover. After researching options I chose this particular item. This is a ruggedly made excellent quality cover. The edging of the cover is a double-stitched band where strong grommets are placed. Cover was easy to place by one person and quick to anchor with the enclosed wire lashing kit that includes a hand-cranked tightened. Item arrived as described and on time.

Spend a little extra money and get a much better cover. I was spending $80 on a cover that I would have to replace every year. Essentially just a utility tarp that you could buy for much cheaper at the hardware store. Just put this one on and it is MUCH thicker, tighter weave pattern, and has a canvas border that the grommets are set into. Very happy with it so far. Will update in spring on how it holds up.

we have a 24' pool and it fits well, put it on for winter and seems to be good quality, will see how well it holds up after the snow and cold after winter

Has reinforced edge heavier and color is better

I LOVE this cover! It's really thick, it looks sturdy and feels sturdy.I've bought winter pool covers and I'd have to buy a new one every season because of how thin they were and how much they would break due to heavy snow, I feel like this next winter will go way better especially with this cover being so thicky!God bless y'all
