I’m always skeptical about the quality of bird feeders; they take a lot of abuse and many don’t last long and it’s rare to find one that the squirrels will leave alone. If you can hang this one far enough away from the pole or tree branches, the squirrels have a hard time trying to hang on! They can’t sit in/on it and tend not to give up after a few snatched nibbles. Larger birds aren’t interested either. It is easy to fill, sturdy and looks nice in the yard. I’m considering purchasing another one.

Well designed, well made, and easy to refill. I highly recommend this item for small birds up to the size of Blue Jays. Very happy with this purchase.

This was a great, easy to use feeder. All sizes of birds can eat, and it does drain water.However, when the wind blew it off the hanger in the tree, the pieces that fit the big plastic cylinder to the bottom all broke. We tried supergluing them, but wouldn’t hold.

This feeder is excellent. It is sturdy and well put together. The openings are large enough for seed to flow smoothly. Easy to open and refill. Just a great value at a reasonable price.

I bought this after the squirrels basically destroyed a different bird feeder I had. It is working great so far. Easy to fill and seems to be sturdy.

This feeder is attractive, well made, and easy to fill. I like the way the top releases with a toggle closure, easy to open and close and the lid stays attached. It holds 3 pounds of grain, but that doesn't look like much, about 2/3 full of a gallon scoop. The great part is the birds waste much less grain than similar feeders. My other feeder is empty in a day, this one is actively used, but lasts 5 days.

I have been buying Perky Pet brand feeders for a while, and when it broke (again), I decided to try something different. This feeder is simple yet cute. It is built very well, where as the perky pet brands only have a wire going through the center that has snapped or rusted twice on me now, this feeder has a sturdy metal tube that is bolted in. This thing is never coming apart. The feeder also has higher walls where the food sits, keeping more of the seed in the feeder as opposed to the birds flicking it all over the side like with other brands. The roof overhang keeps the rain from getting the seed wet. This is my go to feeder now. Love it.

I had several 2.5 lb capacity Pennington Plastic Hopper Wild Bird Feeders over the years that I replaced approximately every six months because the squirrels would chew through and break the locking mechanism that holds the roof in place. The roof and perches of this feeder are chew proof because they are made of metal. The hanging cable has a locking mechanism that can be adjusted to hang the feeder to the desired height. This feeder is well made and a better alternative to plastic feeders.

Smaller than expected based on photo but birds seem to like it and easy to clean. I found the hanger a bit long and wish it could be adjusted to make shorter but otherwise is fine

There’s not much of a perch for the birds.The birds are not using it.
