Out of all of the butter Crocks that I viewed this was my favorite. The white color shows me simplicity and the little brown knob is just what puts the icing on the cake for me. I purchased this based on its looks. I figure all Crocks serve the same purpose. The only thing that worries me is that the wood on top may eventually come off. There's no sign of that but I can tell that it has been glued on because there's a clear residue around the knob at the bottom of it. But that also tells me if it comes off then I can just glue it back on. Walla h!

I don’t really love cluttering up my kitchen with gadgets but this takes up very little space and is aesthetically pleasing. It works as advertised. I leave enough butter for breakfast toast in it, and it stays fresh at room temperature for at least a few days (as long as I’ve left it). At that temperature it spreads easily, and isn’t cold and chunky and unmeltable like butter kept in the refrigerator.

I bought this to contain butter for the counter, but returned only because it was too small for our use. It is well made and if it were larger, I would have kept it.

I have had butter crocks on a number of occasions, and in general I like them - if you pay attention to them and don’t let them mold. This one is absolutely adorable, and I love that there is a rubberized ring around the bottom which makes it easier to put on hard countertops without worrying about chipping one or the other. The one draw back is that the wood handle means you can’t pop it into the dishwasher and given that butter is one of the hardest things to clean off any surface, that’s a real miss in my book.

The butter bell is very simple with clean lines and a lovely wooden handle for the bell. It has good balance when the bell sits open for dishing out the butter. I especially like the nonslip base. Very nicely priced, and order quickly fulfilled.

I love the look of this butter bell! I washed and dried it added water to the base and packed my butter in. Thirty minutes later the butter had dropped into the water. Research revealed that the butter can’t be too warm or it won’t stay in the bell. So I went back to using my butter dish.
