This pencil sharpener is fantastic! I hope it lasts. I ordered it while sitting in my classroom (I'm a teacher) & I purposely did not order the same brand we had before because it doesn't work anymore, after less than a year.

I am a tradesman and hobbyist woodworker. I have bought 4 of these. One for my office, my shop, my work trailer and for my father. These sharpeners are great. I have bought the non auto-stop version and the auto-stop but only kept the auto-stop. They both are very nice, but I prefer the auto-stop as it does not continue to eat your pencil once sharpened. Simple: Insert, press, sharpens, turns off, remove sharp pencil. Easy peasy. Doesn't continue to eat it like other sharpeners. No fragile broken lead tips. The noise from the sharpener is not loud. I highly recommend these especially when they are discounted although I feel as the normal price is very reasonable.

Works very fast. Easy to empty. Suction cups prevent sliding. This replaced one that Is about fifty years old and similar to the size and shape of the original, only quieter and more efficient. Pay a tad more= it’s worth it for better performance.

I used it when it got here and works great. I now have sharp pencils. yea!!!!

The blades on mine might be off-center, it shaves a lot on the bottom of the pencil, and the top still has wood. The instructions say hold firmly, but after 10 tries, I just let it roll to get an adequate point. Not worth returning, just be aware you may have to adjust your technique. The difference was about the width of 2 lines on a college ruled paper, from tip to lowest edge of wood.
