Very Easy to Install, Very Sturdy and Attractive
First of all, I'd like to state I am a 5' tall, 129 lb. woman. That said, I expected installing this toilet to be challenging but it was very easy after my husband helped me unbox and carry it into the bathroom. I did the rest.I especially like the three bolt system of attaching the tank to the base as it makes the toilet extra strong and secure without any rocking. The height is perfect. You might think this toilet might be too tall but again, I'm only 5 ft. tall and it is just right .The only problem I had (and it really wasn't a problem) was this inside of the tank because the chain was too long and it wouldn't flush proplerly. It was an easy fix; all it had to do was move the clip on the chain down by six links and voila! It works great.I'm happy I chose this toilet.

Kohler is great, Amazon is NOT (read below)
Ok. So I purchased a couple of these from Amazon and one of them had a small crack in the bowl that led to a constant dripping sound diagnosed by my plumber which took some time to figure out. Still dripped even with the tank removed (process of elimination).Called Kohler customer care and they quickly authorized to replace not just the bowl but the entire 2-piece unit under warranty. Kudos to Kohler. They issued me a warranty replacement letter (Kohler Letter_Warranty Replacement without Return) and asked that I provide that to Amazon customer service to have them replace it under warranty. The letter references my receipt, the model and authorizes the shipping of a new unit. Even spells out the Amazon/Kohler replacement credit process - (DISTRIBUTOR PARTNER: Please contact your dedicated Kohler Customer Service Team for inquiries related to the fulfillment of a warranty replacement order.)So after searching and finding the support chat option on Amazon customer care, Amazon would not accept the letter and replace the unit. They did say that they would refund the original cost if I wanted to rebuy the unit which is much lower than what the unit sells for today. At one point I had Kohler customer care on the phone and chatting online in a chat window with Amazon. Both were digging in their heels on how the unit should be replaced but then the Kohler Rep authorized just a bowl replacement using freight shipping and mentioned that I should not buy Kohler from Amazon but rather just call them directly in the future and that Kohler can discount if needed.Amazon - please pay attention to your manufactures and their established support / warranty processes that have been developed to help the customer. It sucks when it falls on me, the customer, to figure out how to diagnose and replace defective items. Be a good reseller or don't be a reseller at all.

Quiet, water saver - and it works great
We had toilet that when it flushed sounded like a canon had been fired through the house. After 15 years I was done with it. I did a good deal of researching toilets and finally decided on this Kohler K-3999-0 Highline Comfort 1.2 gallon toilet. What a great decision. It's so quiet. And one flush takes care of all the business.Plus it's good looking.I highly recommend it if your criteria is similar to mine.

It's great
I'm 6'3" so I needed the extra height. The dual flush is great. Push on the handle quick for half a flush or hold it for 2 seconds for full flush. There's not much water in the bowl and I thought it was a flaw but it's enough for a huge movement to be gone. Best toilet ever for tall people. Read the description, no seat included. But it's still worth the money. Arrived in 3 days with no breakage.

sit down without knee pain
I like it because it is a very large bowl, and it is high enough to make sitting easy, it flushes fast and completely. The only problem I had, was the china caps that go on top of the closet bolts were in the box with the water tank. I installed the bowl first, and I had to take the nuts off the bolts to put the caps on, when I found them, but that was not a hard thing to do. It would make sense to put the bolt caps in the bowl box.

Handsome, efficient toilet for our new bathroom BUT prone to splashing and streaking!
A couple of quick negative/warnings to note after three months of use:About one in every five flushes the flow dynamics cause a "burp" of water to splash upward. Sometimes a few drops will land on the seat/rim and sometimes it will land on the floor.Second (and had we known this we would not have bought such a low flow model of any kind) because the water level sits so low in the bowl anyone taking a decent sized #2 will leave skid marks all over the lower half of the bowl. It is utterly unavoidable because the water level sits below the "landing zone." This means we need to clean the toilet daily... even if you're completely comfortable with your SO, if you don't clean asap, it will dry/harden because, again, those "marks" are above the waterline.Overall I guess we're happy with this low flow commode and that it came in black to match our renovation to gray/black. Cost was even with big box stores (thanks to free/Prime shipping) and it arrived within days rather than weeks (big box timeline). So far it’s “handled” everything just fine. For extra “flow” simply hold the handle down for 2-3 seconds. Otherwise, it’s a very efficient, low-flow toilet. One warning: In hard water municipalities you will more readily see a white film from dried clean water droplets, especially up the inside of the polished black bowl... we will likely need to scrub weekly to maintain.
