My nephew needed a new Recoil Starter for their Cub Cadet Two-stage Snow Blower. after the original rope broke, he tried to fix it, but then the coiled spring 'sprung' and so a new starter was needed. I have a 208cc Craft"s"man Tiller.OEM Recoil Starter Assembly = 951-12418.The part I purchased from Amazon is thinner than the OEM part by about 1/4".When this part is assembled to replace the 951-12148, it bottoms out before it can mate flush with the larger sheetmetal shroud.THIS PART IS ADVERTISED AS A COMPATIBLE REPLACEMENT FOR 951-12148. IT IS NOT.
