Performance/Noise/Price=win! (When Mounted inside pc case)
I initially mounted 3 of these on the outside top of my workstation case pulling a cpu radiator with CM sickleflows pushing & noticed an immediate 2.8⁰c peak/nominal temp drop. System runs on a Ryzen 5900x, rendering Lightwave 2020 on all 12c/24t @ 4.63ghz/1.25v in a 19⁰c environment. After ~2 weeks an audible change was present. It was a humming / whirring, not high pitched sound. It came from the center fan only. When I removed the fans yesterday and tested them individually the sound was no longer present. When removed (& tested) then remounted to push the rad. there was barely any sound beyond the moving of air through the 25mm thick radiator at a very respectable volume. The motor noise could be listened for and found, but was not at all predominant.Always remove / reseat your fans first when unexpected noise presents. To reduce vibration & air leakage I use a adhesive backed EPDM window seal strip between fans and rad. for this permanent mount. The same material is applied between rad. & case also. This is my typical practice because an $8 roll mounts a 360 / 6 fans to case (on all 3 sides) with excellent dampening & no air loss.No strip was present when first mounted on the outside, but the fans do have removable silicon pads on 8 corners. All pads are the same color, which is black, and do create a <1mm gap on the edges between pads. Between the gap & reseating for noise, which is almost certainly caused by thermal expansion. CPU assisted by vibration I removed 1 star for build quality. The frame seems to be sturdy, but do recheck your mounts for 'exposure to the elements', which is just good practice anyhow.Otherwise, for noise it's 5 stars. They're not silent. They are not loud. Especially for fans competing at industrial performance levels. They make less noise than most mill run PC fans I've heard, but the actual airflow sound has a presence, which is not typical in comparisons. I can live with it....especially at the wondersnails wonderful 5 star price. If the performance and price are not good enough for the perceived noise levels some reviewers experienced (mounting & environment matter) you forgot to stuff your ears full of all that extra paper you saved here. Please use uncirculated bills. Please.

Great fan at 99% speed, a little loud at 100%
I bought this fan as an upgrade over the stock Scythe Kaze Flex 120mm (51 CFM, 1200 RPM, 25 dB) fan that came with my Mugen 5 rev B cooler. This WS-120 is the 2400 RPM version of the 1800 RPM Wonder Snail fan that comes on the newer Mugen 5 S Edition. It's definitely worth upgrading the Mugen 5 rev B to the 2400 RPM WS-120. Replacing the fan gained me a few degrees C in cooling. Installing the stock Kaze Flex as a 2nd fan on the rear of the cooler tower gave me another ~1.5 degrees C of cooling, but resulted in much louder noise (I suspect due to the 51 CFM fan running much faster than it should have?). I replaced the 2nd cooler fan with a Cougar Vortex 120mm (70.5 CFM, 1500 RPM, 18 dB), and it wound up even quieter than if I had no 2nd CPU fan installed at all! The fan is a little loud and slightly whiny at 100% speed, not enough to not use it, but enough that it would be nice if it was a little quieter. Setting the fan curve on my motherboard to top out at 99% made it much quieter, enough so that I would highly recommend this fan, provided that you can set your own custom fan speed curves. I was tempted to knock off a star for this, but it's an easy fix, the fan is otherwise a great fan, and I could look at it as Scythe giving us the option of gaining a tiny bit of extra cooling at the expense of noticeably more noise. I'd also recommend checking out The Tech Buyer's Guru CPU cooler fan shootout from May 17, 2021 on YouTube for a good comparison to other similar fans, with audio samples at different speeds, to see if you think the fan may be too noisy for you or not. That review also noted how it was a bit loud at max speed, but was otherwise a great fan at lower speeds.

Ordered 2, 1 was DOA
Ordered 2, one was DOA. Having said that they shipped out a replacement quickly. They are a bit louder than I expected, but they do move a lot of air. Blowing across my drive cage reduced the drive temps from 50c to 34 c.

Me encantan, mucho mejores que los austriacos en niveles de ruido-calidad

90% Noctua performance with half the price, and it's black!
I read some review about this fan earlier this month saying the performance is on par with A12x25. I need some 120mm fans not in pp brown so decided to buy it.Now after 2 weeks and with the hint of Chromax A12x25 on 30 Sep, I'm satisfied with my decision (I had a brown Noctua A12x25 btw).1) The noise isn't that bad. For those saying there are random hum, did you try to calibrate the current/rpm in bios. I did so and the noise was wayyy better.2) the performance: It achieved similar result of Noctua's Note that I shifted the fan curve up a bit though.3) the acoustics: It sounds better in my opinion. I don't really enjoy Noctua's high pitch noise when at maximum RPMIn summary, best value for money.Just wait and see how expensive the new Chromax Noctua A12x25 will be (and probably no stock for a while). You won't regret.

Loud hum at random times
Scythe's new fan had many review to it claiming that it's on par with Noctuas NF-A12x25. While I was impressed at first due to the price:performance of the fan, in 3 days the fan started humming at random intervals and that was enough for me to return the fan. Not sure if it was faulty, or many reviewers just never mentioned this flaw.
