Can't complain - I never thought I needed an electric blanket, but after buying this one on a whim, boy was it a game-changer! I loved sitting on top of it in bed, playing cards while watching TV. I also used it on top of an air mattress, as anyone who has slept on one in winter on a hard wood floor knows how cold they can be. This was marvelous at making the air mattress nice and toasty comfortable, and I had ZERO issues with it during the whole year. I like the variety of heat settings it comes with and the timer, though for me, even on the lowest setting it was still a little too warm at times. But that is a very minor quibble, and I am looking forward to using it again this winter! Very highly recommended.

First one I ordered was malfunctioning straight out the box, brand new. I contacted Amazon and I had a replacement within 2 days, and it worked perfectly. I NEVER use any electric blanket more than 2 years, most only one so I don't have to worry about causing fires or having bad malfunctions and so I look for the more economical brands that I can actually afford to do that with but also have decent ratings such as this one, and I'll be buying another one for myself, my daughter and granddaughter later this year just so I'm ready to go when the time comes to retire this one. For the price, I love it. The soft microfiber plush front and the sherpa type back is really nice and comfortable. The only problem I had was my cat wanting to make her " biscuits " on it and I would have to make her stop because I was afraid she'd electrocute herself or destroy my blanket. As far as function, it definitely heated up well on both sides once they sent my replacement blanket. The first one they sent only one side worked, but because they immediately sent me a replacement before I'd even sent the first one back, I was really impressed with the8r customer service and wanted to thank them for that experience because it doesn't always have a happy ending in situations like these, so when a company goes above and beyond to get the problem fixed in under 48 hours, I like to let them know that I as a customer appreciate it. I usually set mine on 5 for temperatures above freezing and 7 or 8 for nights below freezing and it kept me perfectly warm. I have no complaints about it at all. I ordered a queen size grey blanket and it was plenty big enough to cover my bed.

Update: these blankets are workhorses! I have used them every single day and night for over a year and they have never failed me! I have a throw size for my work from home chair, a twin on the sofa and hubby and I each have our own twin size on the bed. (No fighting for covers here lol!)They wash reasonably well, when you plug it back in after washing the readout will flicker: the plug has to be removed and reconnected to the outlet AND the blanket plug fully engaged both. Weird I know but once you do that it works perfectly again.The Sherpa side of my daily work chair blanket looks worn about 14 months in, but that's because I have worn it out through constant use!They really have been a fantastic purchase.Original:We've tried about six different blankets like this now from Amazon and these are the best quality and the best price too.The blanket is soft and fluffy and the heat is well distributed to the edges of each blanket. The controller is easy to see and use and the auto shutoff settings are perfect for using at night so you don't wake up too hot. Very long cords and the wires aren't too obvious on the throw size.Unfortunately the wires on the twin size are much larger or thicker and very obvious. I was a little disappointed by this, I had tried the throw size first and expected the twin to be the same perfect construction. I avoid feeling the heavier cable like wires on the twin size by sandwiching it between two fleece blankets and that works very well.These blankets really heat up too! We have three of them and each one gets plenty hot, that was really important to me. I still haven't even turned one up to high, the lower settings are wonderfully toasty.They arrive shrink wrapped but within a day they are nice and fluffy.One of my best purchases this year!

Only had blanket for few days and appears to be good. As for longevity unsure at this point. Heats up quickly with constant heat. Only found two drawbacks to this item. 1) Cord for control is too short as only comes up about 2/3 length of bed so you're unable to put in area where it's easily reached to change setting or turn off/on. 2) Heating coils don't go anywhere near edge of blanket. Void of electrical coils 13 inches on each side, meaning there's 26 inches where there isn't any heat. On queen size that only gives you 58 inches that's heated. For a couple to use you would almost have to lay on top of each other to keep warm. Don't know if this is an oversight or manufacturing defect. However it's one that needs to be addressed. Before purchasing another electric blanket I would have to see it before making decision to buy another whether this brand or another.

Buena colcha electrica, alcanza buena temperatura, es muy caliente, dos zonas, cada quien puede poner su propia temperatura. Lo único que probablemente se pueda mejorar es que los controles nunca se apagan por lo que en la noche iluminan mucho la habitación. Lo solucione poniendolos boca abajo.
