WOW! This unit pulled out 8 cups of water in 9 hours runtime. I live in So. Texas on the coast. Very hot and humid. The manual said to let the unit sit for 24 hours when you receive it to settle the compressor. And I did that. Very impressed with this unit. Highly recommend this unit. I have COPD and this allows me to breathe better. How to clean the filter. Take out water tank, pull down both tabes evenly, take off the back and filter, wash thoroughly and allow to dry completely, then replace filter and tank. There ya go.

I've only been using this for a week but it's been great so far in a large basement. You cannot connect a garden hose to this for drainage, but it does include a proprietary hose.

I have read the manual which is scant and with trial and error went through the different functions. There are several points that aren't clear but I've got the basics on how it operates. I think it's a very good unit but the manual, which is more like a flyer is very limited. I gave it four stars because it appears to be quite capable, that might be more than it deserves. Except for the manual I have no complaints.

Replaced a slightly older unit that stopped working. I let the new unit rest 24 hours before installing as advised. The new unit is about half the size and weight of the older unit but rated higher. This unit runs, I can see water drips at end of hose, but it is not even close in performance to the old unit. Basement is not huge nor exceptionally damp but this struggles to lower the humidity only a few percent. Along side the old unit, the new one looks and performs like a toy. It's not quiet, moisture removal seems minimal, it is easy to move because it's so small but I don't move a humidifier often, water bucket is very difficult to take off and doesn't fit properly and the whole unit appears flimsy at best. All things considered, the sale price on this unit didn't come close to value for the money.

Works great for a damp basement

POSITIVE - Once I was able to get the unit going, it removed a good bit of moisture, although probably not at the rate of 70 pints per day. The fan was relatively quiet, and so was the compressor. The water discharge hose is designed well. The unit is significantly smaller than other brands, and it is well-built.NEGATIVE - It took several hours to get the unit going, partly because the control panel frequently freezes, and partly because the control panel is intuitive only to the person who designed it. The manual was of no help, nor was the customer service, who told me to follow the manual. The water bucket is far too small, and it has to be emptied every few hours. Therefore, continuous water discharge is the only practical option.BOTTOM LINE – As soon as I find a good shipping box, this unit will go back to Amazon.

Very pleased with this product! It has pulled countless gallons of water out of the air and run continuously without a problem. It always shut off automatically if the reservoir is full and needs emptying.Very pleased!

Works well. Original filter still in since 3 month ago use. Strong, powerful air exchange.
