The idea sounds good on paper, but the execution falls a little short. I like the shelving unit, but plan on removing the guitar racks entirely.The wire brackets are not held in place by anything and slide open. Acoustic and hollowbody guitars fit nicely, but electric guitars and basses will slip. I lashed the wire brackets with electrical tape to prevent them from slipping.I also added foam pipe insulation to the horizontal supports to better receive a guitar. I did not like the idea of metal bracings making direct contact with my instruments. They are about 0.5" metal brackets with no cushion and a thin coating. It could very well damage a guitar if placed too hard.Lastly, the tilt-back is too extreme for any bass guitar. I had to maneuver the stand in front of a window and fan the basses so they wouldn't collide. If I put it against a wall, I would probably have to patch a bunch of holes or replace a headstock.

First off, this should only be purchased for acoustic guitars. Electric guitars slide all over this thing and crash into each other. Second thing is that this guitar stand had a hole drilled in the wrong spot so I had to drill it in in the correct position. This product is a disappointment and will require heavy modification before I can use it for electric guitars.
