Feels like I'm in Italy again!
I have had this Delonghi maker for about a year now as I wanted to be able to give it a fair review. It is so intuitive, and makes great coffee! Grinds the beans, froths the milk and you can even control from an app on your phone! Coffee ready before your feet hit the ground. I just wake up, hit the button for my favorite double expresso cappuccino- snuggle with my dogs for a few minutes then go get my cup of supreme freshly brewed coffee. I simply LOVE it and feel so spoiled. It was a gift to myself, as after a trip to Italy a couple of summers ago, I realized how horrible my coffee was after drinking the coffee there! It was an investment for sure, but absolutely not one issue with it...and I'm worth it! Life is too short to drink bad coffee!!

Do not buy this machine from Amazon!
This was a $1,600 lesson in not buying expensive items on Amazon. It did not work correctly from day one. Amazon initially said I had until the end of the month to return it, but when I tried, they said it was not eligible.I have been going back and forth with De'Longhi, trying to troubleshoot/warranty this, and it has been a pain. Now, it's leaking water. If I can prevent even one person from buying this machine, I will be happy.Update: working with Deonghi over email was a pain.. when I finally called them.. it took 20 mins for them to tell me to send the machine back for them to replace. Buy from De”Longhi, but not from Amazon.

Cold Milk Drinks!!!! UGH!!!!!!
I purchased this machine back in January and wanted to give some time before writing this review. I will start out by saying overall, this is a great machine. Many hot and cold drink choices. Very easy to use. The display guides you along and provides instructions on what to do next and how to do it. Very cool! The only draw back that I have experienced is milk drink serving temperature. I feel that this is a major issue with this unit.I followed the instructions as noted for a flat white and the serving temperature as measured by a calibrated digital thermometer is 125F where coffee serving temperature using the same thermometer is measured at 157F.I called DeLonghi customer service and had several discussions about this issue. I followed their instructions which included preheating the cup and also sent a video of making a flat white. They finally agreed to replace the unit.Welll………The new unit arrived and had the exact same issue!!!Flat white with medium foam (as recommended by DeLonghi) serving temperature measured at 125FI’m frustrated that I spent a lot of money on a “state of the art” expresso machine and still have to microwave my flat white after it is done brewing. My honest feeling is that DeLonghi knows about this issue and simply does not want to address it as you can see other reviews that also list cold milk drink serving temps.I hope this review helps you in making a decision to purchase or not purchase this unit.If you buy it and like milk drinks, make sure your microwave works!

Great Machine
I really like this machine quite a bit. Very convenient, intuitive, and easy to use. Makes a great americano. My only wish is that it had a option for a direct water line. I ended up drilling the tank and adding a valve to fill the tank.

WORTH THE MONEY
Best. Money. Ever. Spent. So easy to use (don’t YouTube it because every video is too long and annoying) just follow the instructions they give. The taste of coffee in this machine is unmatched. Super easy to clean. I love the favorites option so my husband can make me a coffee. I haven’t had any problems with it! No leaking, no mold, nothing other than love for this machine!

Great Coffee, But Beware of RO Water!
We decided to treat ourselves to a fully automatic espresso machine last Christmas and picked this one based on stellar reviews. The espresso? Fantastic. The variety of drinks? Delicious. We were loving it—until a few weeks in when it asked us to descale. No problem, we used the manufacturer’s recommended solution. But after that, the hot milk carafe just stopped working. I cleaned it, took it apart, tried everything—no luck. Oddly, the cold carafe still worked, so I knew it wasn’t the machine itself. Frustrating! Finally, we called customer service and learned something surprising: De’Longhi does not recommend using reverse osmosis (RO) water. Guess what we had been using for both brewing and cleaning? RO water. One more descaling cycle with plain old tap water, and boom—problem solved. Note to self: DO NOT use RO water! I know, it seems counterintuitive, but trust me on this one. Also, the mobile app is sluggish and pretty useless, but that’s a minor gripe.Despite the hiccup, I’m still giving it 4 stars because at the end of the day, it makes truly great coffee. Just be mindful of the water you use! ☕️

It's a really cool yoy
I would prefer a more manual espresso maker, but my family will never accept ot. We have a older Magnifica that was a gift and has issues. This ups it's game considerably with a touch screen, auto frother and profiles. Compared to the older (10+) machine, it's faster to turn on, Moore intuitive to use and far less likely to make a no bean shot. I'm looking forward to the summer when we can take more advantage of the cold drinks.
