Butterick Patterns B5682 Size FF 16-18-20-22 Misses' Jeans and Trousers, Pack of 1, White

I have made this pattern twice now and am already planning my next pair. I made option C - the bootleg jeans, my old favourite, getting more difficult to find these days, especially in a non stretch fabric. I like a bit of air between my leg and the fabric.The pattern is easy to follow and makes a very neat pair of trousers in a classic jeans shape. I love these trousers, they look good and careful shaping in the waist means that they are very comfortable to wear. It is easy to adjust for length ( I had to add 2cm- check your leg length before you start).Size wise, as with any pattern, measure and cut to the size you measure, don't feel bad about it, these are not the same as shop sizes and you are going to be putting a lot of effort in to make the right size. If you fall between 2 sizes then go for the lower one. I am always a 12 in the shops but measure as between 16 and 18 for this pattern, I cut and sewed a 16 and the fit is pretty perfect. I had to narrow the leg above the knee slightly , but that is more to do with style preference rather than sizing. The size chart is not shown on the listing so I will add a photo.I always find the fly the most challenging part of trouser making. The instructions on this pattern are good and clear though. I made a poly cotton version first just to make sure that I knew what I was doing and had a nice fit before cutting the good fabric. They turned out really well and now serve as a classy looking pair of jogging trousers. I have also made this from drill cotton for a very robust pair of work trousers. I am planning more jeans and perhaps some cords. This is a pattern that I will use again and again.

Best fit ever, from a home sewing, trouser pattern. Simple to follow, variety of styles, no sign of baggy elephant rear, or pantaloon thighs. Wish I'd found it sooner.

Schnittmuster nicht wie beschrieben auf Deutsch, sondern Englisch und Französisch. Man bekommt also nicht das, was man bestellt. Null Sterne kann man leider nicht vergeben. Schade!
