I am very pleased with the quality of these 9-foot garlands. I purchased 3 of them and they were all in great condition, and all exactly 9 foot long. The finish on the wood beads is very good - they have a mid-range sheen to them, definitely not a high gloss. But the finish seems like it would protect them from getting scratched, which hopefully means they will last for years. The combination of the red and burgundy colored beads is beautiful and really helps them to look more realistic once on the Christmas tree. (Factory Direct Craft also sells a version of these garlands that are red beads only. Personally, I like the combo colors, but you may want just red.) They are not heavy beads, but not too light either. Sorry for the cliche, but the weight seems just right to me. They drape nicely, but still are pliable enough that you can probably do whatever you need to with them. They are strung fairly tightly together, but for most applications I imagine this would not cause a problem. I would just recommend you get more than you think you need. I have a 7ft artificial tree that's a standard width, and to cover the entire circumference of the tree I estimate you'd need 7-8 strands. My tree is against a wall once decorated, so we only strung the garland about two thirds the way around and 3 strands was not enough. I will probably buy 2 more and then be more generous with my draping. But you can see in the photos I was still able to get pretty good coverage with only 3 strands since we weren't wrapping them all they way around the back of the tree. I highly recommend these at the $10 price point or below - I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The product was what I wanted for the look but very cheaply made and very over priced. I would not perchase them again.

Very happy with my purchase of these wooden bead garlands. The burgundy color is lovely and does look similar to the color of fresh cranberries. If you're hoping for a brighter pop of color on your tree, this might not be your best bet, as I've found it isn't super noticeable unless the garland is sitting right on the edges of the branches.Before ordering, best to assess how many strands you'll really need. My tree isn't enormous -- probably six feet tall -- but the two strands I ordered only covered half the tree. Nine feet sounds much longer than it is. I ended up purchasing two more and they now cover the tree perfectly. I probably wouldn't have bought them if I'd known I'd need $40 worth of garlands, but once I had two strands I couldn't stop there!Each package I received contained one 9-foot strand (vs. others who said they received three 3-foot strands). Also, the two ends are attached, forming a loop, but you simply need to untwist the two ends from each other to separate.

We got six strands of these beads to decorate our 1917 home this last Christmas and couldn't have been more pleased. We did not use them on the tree (nine feet does not go as far as you might think), but rather entwined them in fir and pine garlands that we tied with red plaid and red velvet ribbons on the bannister rail and over the doors, and we thought they added a wonderful, old fashioned touch. I can't say they look like actual strung cranberries--the beads are a little too big and too uniform in size--but they are obviously made of wood, and that, coupled with the nonuniformity of their dull red stain, conveys a lovely old-timey-ness nonetheless.

I actually ordered these twice. the first time i ordered one pack, and it was tied together - which i found really annoying - as it was a real hassle to drape this on the tree. but the beads were pretty. i had a three n a half foot tree and this obe garland was not enough, so i ordered another pack. this one had two ends and was so much more easier to drape around the tree, but the beads were not the same shade as the first packet.

Nice size beads, and lovely color--cranberry, not bright red. Was the perfect touch on our Christmas tree and the order arrived VERY quickly. Someone commented that they come in a loop, but what the vendor did was twist the strand together at the ends. You can untwist them (only a little tricky) and, bingo! a long rope of pretty beads. I ordered two strands to add to two I already had found at a local store. Perfect match and they looked great with our rather folksy ornaments.

These were beautiful and well made. I will definitely be buying several more strands for next year's trees. I've been wanting to get more of these for the last 10 years. Don't know why I put it off.

The beads are a nice size and color and look good on the tree. However, one strand doesn't go very far. I had to order three more strands to cover the tree (front only).
