I have not prepared 1099's in quite a few years and this product gives you step by step on how to e-file with the IRS.

I always use these and the instuctions are so simple

I have used Adams Tax Forms for over 20 years and was always please with the product and software. This year, instead of Software CD, you register a code and everything is on-line only. The interface sucks. I spent hours trying to download last years data (3-7 1099's) and finally gave up and had to enter Payees manually. I kept getting error messages saying there were errors in the state. Then I could not figure how to display my 1099's. I tried the Chat bot but it was no help. It offered a Chat with a live person in India, but it took 6 hours (normal wait time) of waiting before I had a live agent in the chat mode. He said to go to the main menu which I did, but there was no clear options. He told me to clear my browser and we tried again. Now I could see one entry with the error message with no explanation. Then he said to leave State blank. Finally after over an hour I had to leave for an appointment and asked if he could send me a copy of the Chat to my email and any further instructions. Never received anything. On the next day I finally made some headway on my own (took about 2 hours). I kept getting timed out and had to login again and again. Finally printed my 3 forms. Got timed out again when I needed to now print my 1096 form. Tried to login again and their verification for Login system is down. IRS form must be mailed tomorrow and I cannot Log on! Isn't this fun! The old system worked fine and wasn't broken, but some offshore company decided to fix it. Next year I will not be using this.

The forms are ideal for their purpose. Well done. Actual value for money is debatable with all such products, as they consist of a simple design, ink, and paper, thus all are vastly overpriced for the labor and materials involved, in my opinion.

Not “not peel & Seal” envelopes even if you print it twice on the packageOtherwise served it’s purpose and very reasonable cost

Do not like the one-time subscription fee for e-filing these forms thru the company. Forms are good.

I want to preface this by saying, I have purchased from Adams and used their program for years and that is why I continued to use them for the 2023 season. With that being said, this year's product is absolutely terrible to work with. I encourage you to find another product, as you will not be getting what you are used to.I spent the time inputting information and they all showed as complete. In going to print them, the program would bog down and spin, with frequent error messages. Figuring it was my internet connection, I took my laptop to my office to try there. When going in to print, I see that the information that had been there is gone on all but two 1099 NECs. So, I commence inputting the information again, attempting to print and see yet another fail. Naturally, I went back to look at the information that I had input, only to see they are incomplete again! Even with the higher speed at the office, the program bogs down and has repeated error message after error message. Yes, I tried their "help" chat several times, with the hope it will eventually lead me to a real person. I was wrong, it is automated and useless.To say that I am very disappointed is an understatement. The worst I had encountered previously was adjusting the margins. This is beyond frustrating for the small amount of 1099s that I need to prepare that do not require e-filing.
