There was a 10% discount available too. You get 2 AAA batteries for the controller and 2 rechargeable batteries for the truck. After installation, I took it outside for a test drive. The truck is quite durable. I ran it on the grass and concrete and had no problems. Even through a few crashes, nothing broke. For a small vehicle, it is fast enough to impress. It even has headlights and car body lights. The steering needed to be adjusted a little, but that can be done by turning the steering level on the bottom of the truck to compensate oversteering. Battery life seems to be good, even though the battery is 600 ma. It runs on 1 battery and you get 2 batteries so when one is depleted, just swap it for the other charged on. The only difficulty I had was to release the battery (either from the charger or truck) you need to depress the single lever lock mechanism- no biggy.Added picture so you can see the size.

I love that the battery compartment closes with a small screw (screwdriver included).
