I didn’t get in time this last Christmas but keeping in tote to put up next year. My friend loved hers and told me I needed to get some since I had large red outdoor ornaments balls to hang along with lights. Love the solar type. So I did order hooks to place on front deck to string them on.Ready for this Christmas

I used these lights to hang on our front porch, and they were long enough to almost hold them double along the front of the porch. They were also easy to pull apart and hang. They were shipped well and weren't all tangled up in the box which was nice. They come with a remote which made it handy to turn them on and change the modes from inside. I just point the remote through a window at the little box attached to the end of the string, and I was able to turn them on that way.I really liked how many different modes there were, and I liked that the brightness was adjustable. All of it can be selected on the remote. The one thing that I could never get to work was the timer. I wanted to have them plugged into the daylight sensor cord I have so they'd turn on and off automatically that way. I could never get this to work. I tried plugging them in directly and using the timer function, but that didn't work either. It doesn't help that there are no clear instructions included other than just using the "timer" button on the remote. So, fine if you don't mind using the remote every evening to turn them on.

The solar charger that comes with this product doesn't work well at all. I use solar lights for outdoor seasonal lighting, so I have a good sense of what one can expect from solar products for Northern midwest in winter. This product simply doesnt work. The lights come on at dark as you would expect but go out within an hour. I played with settings, going for a dimmer power, but still, lights only come on for an hour or so. I have resorted to plugging in a battery booster which seems to power the solar battery enough to keep them on for several hours. If this device did not have a option to use a c-plug charging cord to plug in an alternate power source, it would have been a total waste. What other reviews note about the remote only working if you are standing right in front of the unit are correct.

These lights are so easy to put up. I placed my lights on the upper trim of my house and it turned out beautifully making my home look like an ice palace!!!

Recommend ordering warm white or multi-colored as the cool white most definitely looks blue. Wiring is light weight, unlike the usual Christmas strands. Bonus points for clear cording.The battery on the remote was completely dead upon receiving. Not the greatest remote as it requires close proximity to the plug to function.Decent for the price but not as nice as non-LED.UPDATE DOWNGRADE TO A 1-2: Shortly after purchasing, disappointed. The remote must be within 3-4ft to communicate with plug and since these are indoor/outdoor, that's not acceptable for outside use. Various light settings don't readily respond or hold much of the time (they start to blink wildly after several minutes). Since they are already installed, they will stay for this year but dispose after the season.
