Spigen Rugged Armor Case Compatible with S9 - Matte Black

I've purchased Spigen phone cases before and they've all been well designed and good quality. This one is no different, it fits my S9 really well providing protection without adding unnecessarily to the bulk of this super thin phone. All the buttons are accessible and operate positively whilst sensibly the rear cut out for the camera lens and flash has chamfered edges so it doesn't obstruct use of the fingerprint scanner (which I've found a problem on some other cases). The matt finish material looks and feels premium and is non- slip to hold, if you put the phone face down on a table the case keeps the glass off the surface. I was hoping to find a case which had an all over carbon fibre look but TBH this Spigen case is probably more practical and the carbon fibre accents on the back do look like carbon fibre whereas I suspect many of the all over carbon fibre cases, many of which are just printed, would look more obviously fake and the print would wear off quite quickly. Real carbon fibre cases are expensive and whilst they look cool probably don't provide such good drop protection as this one. I am overall, very pleased with my purchase.

It's one of those cases that's easy to put on, gets out of the way, and does its job really well.Made out of Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), the Rugged Armor case is extremely easy to take on and off of the S10 thanks to its flexible design. Once on the phone, you have solid protection from drops and falls of all kind thanks to Spigen's Air Cushion Technology that absorbs the shock of unexpected impacts. The top and bottom edges of the case are raised ever-so-slightly to also protect the screen. Because of this, you've got full 360° protection.Thankfully, all of those safety features don't really compromise the day-to-day feel of using the S10. The buttons are also very tactile with a good physical response, and the cutouts for the USB-C port and headphone jack work just like you'd expect.Out of all this, however, my favorite thing is that the Rugged Armor doesn't add much thickness to the S10. It's certainly not the thinnest case you can buy, but considering the level of protection it offers, it's a pretty compact form factor.

Before purchasing this product I was concerned that it wouldn't protect the screen when falling face down on a surface and I was also hesitant as to whether I would still be able to see the nice curved edges on my phone. This case is raised by about 3mm on the top and bottom edges which keeps the phone safe and falling face down however at the sides case is thinner so you can still see the curved glass edges. This is perfect as I can still use all the features of my phone whilst being protected.It fit perfectly and I've had no issues with the case pushing against buttons accidently. It's also fairly low profile so it doesn't make the phone look too clunky. In fact it looks pretty stylish on my phone.I would recommend this case, especially when comparing to more expensive brands such as Gear 4, this is such great value for money and it looks really nice too.

Nice slim case by the same company that makes good quality gopro screen protectors. Nice and slim with carbon fibre type inserts on top and bottom. Has a grippy back unlike standard PC backed cases so doesn't feel like it would slip from your hand in dry or wet. As for protection I haven't dropped the phone and hope not to. I am dropping a star as the glass on the front of the galaxy 9 is slightly protrudes from the case edge meaning if it fell face or slightly edge first it is likely the case wont protect the phone screen. As well made all buttons work through the case as expected

I’ve used Spigen products before, covers and screen protesters. The last time was for a Galaxy S7. So buying form them again was a no-brainer. And they’ve not let me down.It fits my phone with perfection, allowing room for screen protectors other than their own.The ‘button covers’ are all in the right place and are light to touch in order for the phone to react.This case is a little more flexible than the one I have on a S7 but it still offers the same sort of protective and grips well in my hand. It’s also nice and slim and barely has an effect on bulkyfying (is that a word?) the phone at all.In all, another fine product which fits well and looks the part without any hassles at all.
