Amazing little product!
FM AM SW WB multi- 10 band Short Wave receiver, with telescopic antenna, compass on volume knob, a flashlight with SOS siren & signal. A top is a 4 button band, mode, light, "music" switch. Back and side is a 3 way charge with 2 amp USB, solar charge, or hand power generator with a 4000 MAH battery & USB port for charging other devices. 3 position side selector switch for selecting function as a Radio, a Blue Tooth Speaker, or TF Card for "music". Also on back is a 3 position SOS, normal operation, & charge selector switch. With play, forward, reverse buttons when using a TF Card. Rotary tune knob with back light display and circuit protection, plus a carrying strap. Great Sound & Ultra Light & Portable! Add a short wave antenna that simply clips to the telescopic antenna for even better reception without extending the telescopic antenna "Not included". Although I believe it was suppose to be included. A ton of great features for such small hand held device!

Blue tooth locked up--but great little radio
Great little radio, also like the blue tooth connectivity. It has locked up on blue tooth twice, but holding the on/off button down while then pressing down and also holding down the band button for approximately 5 to 10 seconds unlocked it. Not sure if the band button was required to unlock it as during the first lock-up I was just trying various combinations and hold times to get it to unlock and during the second time I just repeated the sequence. Other than that, it is definitely a great buy.

All in one, sounds good
Make sure you set aside some time to read the manual. The radio has an impressive number of features on a box so small that the main indicators are LEDs you will have to look up to see what they mean, and stuff is selected using small buttons on every side. That said, it only takes a short time playing with the device and the manual to get the hang of things. The device charges with USB-C (USB A to USB-C cord included, but no wall plug), a solar panel built into the back of the device and a hand crank on the side. According to the manual, the radio will play for about 18 hours on a full charge. There is no indication the battery is replaceable, just that it is expected to last more than 3 years. The radio includes FM, AM, weather band and Shortwave (divided into 7 bands). The only antenna is a telescoping style and there is no provision for connecting an external antenna. FM, AM and Weather all came in clear (and the speaker sounds quite good), but I was unable to DX on the shortwave – not unexpected, since I live in an area with many buildings. The tuning can be manual by turning a knob, or by scanning, pressing buttons on the back. My only complain was that the tuning knob is quite sensitive, with a slight movement changing the frequency. It took me a while to learn how to grab the radio without accidentally bumping the knob. That said, once a station is tuned the radio holds it quite well. The device can also act as a Bluetooth 5.0 speaker to a mobile phone. It connected quite easily to my iphone and I used it to play music – again, the speaker sounds quite good. The buttons on the back were able to tell my phone to go back a track, pause/resume and skip forward a track. The device can also be used as a standalone MP3 player (the manual also says it can do WAV, FLAC and APE formats), from a USB flash drive or a built-in micro SD slot. It just starts playing the files sequentially with no display to see what is playing or available, but you can skip forward, play/pause and go back a file using the back buttons. Again, sounding pretty good. There is a headphone jack, a mini compass (no idea how accurate), a flashlight that is bright but focused as a spot(about 1’ wise at 10’ distance), a switch to turn the whole thing into a USB power source and an SOS feature that flashes the light and sounds an alarm. All together, a lot of stuff in a small, solid package. The touchy tuning will keep it from being my backyard radio, but the size and features make this quite good for camping – or your survivalist bomb shelter?

fatal Software problems
I bouth this radio, and used ut for about a week. It worked verywell in that short time and I verymuch enjoyed the speaker and radio quality. However after switching from Bluetooth to Radio the RE 40 screen froze and has been stuck Unresponsive for 2 days. There is no emergency shut off, holding the power button does nothing because the radio isn't processing any inputs. nothing will respond. You cannot use the flashlight, SOS, or any other system possibly until the battery has fully died and the radio can be charged and hard rebooted. In this state It is a small, green brick with a small red light with no other functionality.I am beyond disappointed, I very much liked using this radio, but not being able do do anything once the unit has frozen itself means it it completely unreliable. I do not know if letting the battry die will even solve this issue or even how long that might take as all it is doing is powering a single red light.

Short wave Radio
First of all the shortwave radio is very compact. It has a Weather Channel, Bluetooth capabilities and the speakers sound nice. It also comes with a very bright flashlight and a compass. Very satisfied

Not sure how it works yet.
Bought this for when the electric grid goes down and it will soon. Better to have it and not need it to need it and not have it. Price was right, sound is okay, it's compact and fits perfectly in my hand. Easy-to-use. Looks like decent quality.
