Oddly unbalanced quality
This has been the most baffling mismatch of quality I have encountered on Amazon.Overall, it's fine, but I'll probably never buy anything else from this company.Impressions:The frame is rock solid and well-built. kind of annoying to put together, but not overly so.The top is... everything I expect from maybe the cheaper end of Walmart junk.Packaging:Likewise, the packaging for all of the metal components (i.e. the surprisingly solid frame) was almost overly done, which is good. Things are double plastic wrapped and taped in multiple areas.Conversely, the packaging does almost nothing to protect the easily damaged top. Mine arrived with quite a few heavy scratches/gouges on the underside from the metal parts, and a sizable gouge on the outer top edge. The fact the top is just in the box with the parts sitting in it, only protecting the two halves from each other is probably most of it. The scratches/gouges are on the inside one, the gouge is on the outside one, and the exterior box was in pristine condition. My main issues:I think it's borderline scammy to reference the thickness of the table surface as a marketing point, and pointedly not include any image that shows that this is a clumsily joined lip that is 5/8" thick (and the actual thickness of the top itself. To be honest, I bought what I assumed would be some sort of fiberboard block to use for mounting some things to. It is fiberboard, though very soft compared to most, and I wouldn't trust it to hold anything clamped with pressure enough to offset even moderate weight (like a mic boom mount would terrify me, and those are maybe 10 pounds on the super heavy end, with everything attached). Likewise, other than the 4 points the frame bolts to (and the only holes that will go into this table that are barely reinforced), everything about this top is that same wood material, and you will drill three 5/8" strips (of the same material) into it to "support" it. Again, fine, but certainly not as robust as the marketing would indicate to a casual consumer looking for a solid, thick block they emphasize. I didn't expect butcher block, but... like, you sold this making a point out of solidness/thickness. It ain't that. At all. And because the paint and wood are so soft, I trust this less than any other table in this price range for durability.Speaking of price range, other brands in the range have free shipping. This did not. The table I bought from a competitor two weeks ago was 10 more than the list price for this table and had free shipping, so actually cost me 80 bucks less, is more solid, with metal reinforcement under the entire table surface, and is still lighter somehow (by like 15 pounds shipping weight, with way more metal, and heavier wood), AND didn't pretend to be something it isn't while costing me more to get the thing.Honestly, look at anything in the 10 to 50 more range with free shipping. You'll come out ahead in cost and end up with a better product.Additional thought:I really, REALLY like the (again, surprisingly sturdy) frame. Enough that I may just spring for like a solid top to bolt it to later on. I kinda wanted a solid top, which this presented itself as. Maybe my fault for not digging deeper, who knows, but while I can use this differently than I intended, I think it's be useful for someone who is looking for the same thing I was to know this is not the thing you're looking for. Go find better and save money doing it. Tribesigns, for reference, is my direct comparison brand. Try them. In my experience, they sell a better product for less.

The table top is 2 pieces plus the base
It was odd that the table top was split down the middle, and not 1 solid piece. You will need a table runner. Other than that, it's a beautiful table!
