Product was received one day ahead of scheduled. Which made it perfectly timed. Was able to install with no problems. Perfect fit and looks OEM.

This particular item fits the filter that I have for my pool perfectly, and it is reasonably priced and available on Amazon. I love all these qualities, however, this is the third one that I’ve ordered in five years. I keep them protected from the sun with good insulation, but They always crack at the same. This valve is made of two parts that are sealed together and it cracks at that seal in my pool starts leaking through the filter from that part.

I happen to have a new Pentair original one of these in stock for my Triton TR100C filter, and I cannot find any differences between the two. This is the exact same as the original part right down to the wording on the caution label. Even the white color of the bottom seal is the same.The brutal Arizona sun eventually discolors and fogs the plastic and makes it hard to see through after a while and so having a spare at a somewhat reduced price is a benefit.Although I wished that these came with a new nut on the bottom, I cannot fault this one, as the “factory” one doesn’t come with the nut (Pentair Part # 154412) either.But, I take exception to the picture on the description page that describes the installation as “Rotate freely release pressure quickly, simply remove the old pool are relief valve and thread the new pool valve assembly onto the nuit.” (Spelling and grammar errors are quoted as written.) The picture shows that you just unthread the old one from the top and screw the new one in.But, in my experience, if you unscrew this from the filter lid top, the nut will fall down inside the filter, and you will have to remove the black filter closure using the special wrench anyway and go diving for it. So, to do this job, you will probably need the special wrench for the tank top closure (Pentair Part # 152507), a new square-cut sealing ring for the lid (Pentair Part #152509), and the previously mentioned nut. (Part numbers are for a Triton TR100C filter).

My sand filter relief valve and pressure gauge were damaged by freezing temperatures. Installation could not be easier. The old one unscrews to remove and the replacement goes back in the same threaded opening on the top of my filter. It took only 5 minutes to install including cleaning the area around the valve. The included o-ring ensured a perfect seal with no leaks. The pressure gauge reads accurately. I also like the rotating indicator on the face of the gauge that tells me what the pressure reading was after the most recent backwash, so that I can keep a watch on pressure levels rising.
