Amazing little stereo
I'm very happy with this stereo. I was prepared for a weak sound, but no, it's full and powerful. The speakers are very impressive. The internet radio is the best. Listen to any station around the world.

My hubby and I bought this for our Christmas gift and we are so glad we did. Great value and sound.

internet radio
I really enjoy listening to the various stations from around the world. The few times that I have listened to FM stations have been good. The speakers are good. I enjoy listening to CDs although only one can be played at a time. Overall, I like it. I would consider buying it again

Not quite
By reading it made me think it was a wireless speaker system, which is what I was looking for any way it sounds good and works good just wasn't what I was looking for I now have wires on the floor

Only one speaker works Customer service sucked for both Amazon and Philips
The product works but only one of the two speakers has sound coming from it… I’ll likely return either the unit or the speaker for one that works.Update… I’m downgrading from a 3 to a1.Tried to return this and Amazon suggested I ask for one speaker. I did. No response from either Amazon or the retailer.Philips gave me a non answer as well.

Reminiscing my teenage years
If you were born from 70s and 80s this component is easy to install. The clear sounds and it reminds me of my teenage years. Better sound quality than bluetooth speakers. Best birthday gift ever for myself.

Good sound. Great internet radio. Support nearly nonexistent.
I was a little reluctant after reading some non-US reviews under another listing mainly because of the CD player since that was the main reason for purchasing this unit (this system has been available in Europe for 1-2 years but only newly available in the US). But I finally took a chance. This sleek system sounds good, much better than the other mini stereo system I previously reviewed. Internet radio is great! And the CD player is working on this one (so far at least but always the first component to go). I had an issue connecting to internet radio that I figured out after trying to contact Philips (I got it work after selecting update time via network and a timezone). Called Philips 5x and was disconnected 4x before reaching anyone. The only time I was able to reach someone, the call was disconnected. So don't expect any real support from Philips. A side note--the full user manual is only available online. Boggles my mind why it wasn’t included since there’s a lot of info and printing it out used a lot more paper than a small booklet would have.

Not what I Expected
Overall the unit was ok but there were a couple of deal breakers for me. The 3.5mm aux port worked but the left channel would stop playing if the jack was merely touched where it plugs into the front. I got the same result with different cables and they worked flawlessly with other devices. Also despite being the proper format, file type, folder structure, and drive size, it would not recognize anything on a usb drive. The other thing I didn't like is the inability to turn off auto closing of the CD drive. By the time I put a CD back in it's case and grab another CD, the tray would start to close right when I'm placing another CD into it, risking grabbing and scratching the CD. Also the tray mechanism was very loud and the buttons felt cheap. It didn't feel like a $300 unit to me. Aside from that the sound was overall very good and the built in apps worked good. It's not really a bad unit, but it's not really good either.
