Suspect Housing Quality
I have installed this trimmer heads on my heavy duty string trimmer which was made in China. When I first received my trimmer, the trimmer head plastic housing was distorted and would not lock properly and quite often came loose during use. This head was a direct replacement and of the same construction. I have ran it for a short time and it has remained in tact. The real test will not come until this Spring season growth and will update this review regarding functionality and longevity.

Works with a few issues
This trimmer head does screw on and functions properly with a few concerns, listed below:The plastic on this unit seems very hard and stiff without much, if any flex to it. The release buttons to remove the top and add new line are almost impossible to push in enough to disengage the locking hooks. My OEM head unit seems to be made with a more flexible plastic (like fiberglass) that seems like it would be more durable than this straight, rigid plastic and certainly is more flexible than this. No gorilla thumbs needed to push in the lock buttons on the OEM head unit, to release the top cover. My other issue is, this head unit does not screw in quite as far as my OEM one and leaves about 1/16" to 1/8" gap between it and the trimmer shaft/plate mount. My concern with this is getting many weeds sucked into there and wrapping around the shaft.I will keep this around as an emergency-backup but it certainly could use some refinement!
