Excellent oil to season cast iron cookware
I got this to season several cast iron skillets and it worked very well. I didn't need much and didn't want to buy a larger container, so the small quantity was great. And for seasoning pans, this is exactly what you want -- 100% pure flax seed oil that's unrefined and organic.FYI, if you're curious about the seasoning process I used:1) took my skillets all the way down to the bare metal2) put a few drops -- and ONLY a few drops -- of oil on the metal3) rubbed it in the oil and then rubbed almost all of it off4) baked skillet at 500 F for an hour5) turned off heat and left skillet in oven for 2 hours while it returned to room temperature6) repeated steps 2-5 another five timesThis process takes patience, and don't try to rush things with step #3 by leaving too much oil on the skillet, this will actually RUIN the process. Remove almost all of the oil until there's just the barest of coating left before moving on to step #4.You will still need to cook with oil, obviously, but the seasoning layer will be very hard and will fill in micro-pits on the cast iron. At the risk of taking an even bigger tangent in this review, I suggest getting OLD cast iron cookware when they still ground the surfaces flat after the cookware came out of the casting. Just about everything made today skips this grinding step because of cost, and the rough surface straight from the casting mold is nowhere near as good.

Works great to make a nonstick surface
Wow, simply wow. I heard about flax seed oil from a cast iron enthusiast. But I used it to treat an old Calphalon fry pan that lost it's nonstick years ago. The result is amazing. I put on a light coat, and cooked on the grill at 500 for 10 minutes, repeated this process five times. The surface is black and cleans easily with water. I do not use soap to clean.

Great
My eyebrows were getting thinner and I read that Flax Seed Oil would fix that if you rub on every day. Doubted it, but worked perfectly. Even re-grew in middle where I have been plucking for 15 years.

Flax seed oil to cure my skillet!
I know this may sound crazy but I heard that Flax seed oil was the best thing to season or cure my skillet! It was the best oil it’s nice and thick and it made my pan just awesome and I haven’t had to season it again for a while! Just love this oil

Are We Having Fish Tonight?
I bought this at the advice of cast iron experts, to season my cast iron. In 2 words? It stinks. I mean it smells. Really bad. Like cod liver oil. Twice my girlfriend came home and said "... are we having fish tonight?" It was hamburgers.
