The light in my pantry was an old fluorescent circular bulb. When the ballast burned out I decided to replace it with a newer LED light. I decided on this one and it works perfectly. It's plenty bright and was very easy to install using the existing wiring. Took less than 10 minutes. Very happy with it, no complaints.

I bought this to replace a very outdated hall light and I love that I can schedule it to turn on and go dim just enough to be able to see the path to the bathroom in the middle of the night but not high enough to disturb anyone's sleep. Great light.

Installed this in the shower - connected a wire from the fan box, and through the ceiling.PROS:- very lightweight - it can be installed directly in the drywall ceiling with butterfly anchors, without a junction box (not up to code, but I don't have access to the attic, and I was lazy...)- Takes only 12W (that's why I am also ok with not having a junction box - it barely draws any current)- very easy to install - silver base first, then attach the lamp and screw it in through the provided holes. If you already have a junction box and wiring, installation will take 6-7 minutes- has an optional silicone ring / gasket around the base for wet environments- great price for the value. LED is the future of saving energy!- brings a modern feel to the bathroomCONS:- I would have liked it to be even brighter, but it is good enough for now- nothing else for now, I will update if anything changes

This is a clean, simple ceiling light fixture that blends in nicely. I installed this in our master bath, which has kind of a busy decor and doesn't need a ceiling light fixture that calls attention to itself. This fixture also gives out plenty of good quality light, surprisingly so at this price point. Extra bonus, it is dimmable, and I happened to have a compatible dimmer on hand, and the dimming works well. The dimming makes this a much more usable fixture in a bathroom, where you may not want super bright light all of the time. It also seals well, so it should work well in a bathroom where moisture can be an issue.Here's the design issue I ran into: my house was built, 20 years ago, with small electrical boxes in the ceiling. This shouldn't be a problem, because there are adapters available to allow modern fixtures to work with these boxes, and in fact the Cloudy Bay fixture thoughtfully includes an adapter. The included adapter doesn't match the one in the installation instructions, but of the three types of adapters I'm familiar with, I think this would still be a problem, and that problem is: the ground wire bolt is in line with the mounting holes, and interferes with the mounting bracket. There is no way to install the light fixture with the bracket/adapter that comes with the fixture. My solution was to completely disassemble the fixture, remove the ground bolt, and then mount the fixture. This problem would not exist if the bolt were offset slightly, or even 90 degrees, from the mounting screw holes.Hopefully you don't run into the problem I did, and your install goes well. This is a terrific value in a ceiling light fixture.

This light is super easy to install and is bright. It's much brighter than your traditional incandescent light bulbs. It does state 100W comparison but its much brighter than that. Makes a great utility room, bathroom or laundry room light. In my opinion it's too bright for dayrooms, bedrooms and such. If you were to use it in these locations, I'd recommend installing a LED dimmer switch. This light is dimmable..just needs the appropriate dimmer switch installed. Very low profile light. Good light. Excellent for your front or rear portico of your residence as well.

Good product

Contrary to some of the negative reviews, I found that the fixture arrived complete with extra screws and an adapter plate that allows the fixture to be mounted onto a j-box different from the 3.5 inch spacing of the fixture’s mounting slots. It still won’t line up with the screw holes of an outlet box, but outlet boxes aren’t supposed to be used for hanging light fixtures anyway. If you don’t have a proper ceiling box, you may have to place a couple of your own wood screws, but that’s no fault of this product.It was easy to install (despite not having a standard j_box) and it makes a nice unobtrusive light over our kitchen sink where I took out an old fluorescent fixture. I got a soft whit, which is plenty bright for working at and around the sink. Unless I run into reliability issues, I will buy these lights again for home improvement projects,

Installation is easy if you know how to install light fixtures. Connecting to the application is easy. The application is something to be desired. The smart features used for setting up automations does not consistently work. So if you're looking for reliable automation, Cloudy products fall short due to their application.
