Samsung has given the S23 series the FE treatment, which typically means some mid-year tweaks to the series resulting in enough changes to allow a lower price-point without making too many compromises.The first thing I noticed when picking up my 256GB model in white, was the weight. At over 200g, this is not a light phone... but as I discovered, a lot of that must be to do with the fact that this phone lasts all day on a full charge thanks to its generous battery.And while using the phone, I really came to appreciate the display. At around 6.5 inches, it feels just right in terms of size, while being really bright and crisp. Photos and videos I took using the phone's capable array of cameras looked really colourful on the screen and the experience was not short of premium. If I have one criticism, it is that the selfie camera is not as good as the ones on the back - especially when taking group selfies.Other than capturing memories, the phone also copes with other tasks without any issue. The performance is snappy, even when doing more than one thing at a time like listening to music while browsing or chatting with friends, or while playing games. I didn't feel like I needed to close any apps that were running in the background or that the phone was slow or laggy in any way. And the 256GB of storage meant I never had to worry about the number of apps or games I had installed.The S23 FE managed to connect to the various wearables I use (my earbuds, headphones and watch) and my car's Android Auto without any issues and I never experienced any issues when using associated features. Charging it up was fast and wireless charging worked perfectly, including reverse-charging which I used for my Buds FE. And this was true despite the case I had it in (and I would recommend a case given the slippery glass back!).Overall then, Samsung has succeeded in its objective of giving the S23 series a good send-off. The S23 FE is a phone that looks and feels premium, runs like a premium phone but does not cost the near £1000 most premium phones cost these days. I would say it is a smart purchase for anyone in the market for a phone just now.

Upon unboxing the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE I marvelled at how premium and captivating the quality of the phone and how it felt in my hands. Heavier, it rivalled my partners s23 plus with a more boxed frame rather than the sleek curves of the latter. The contents of the boxed phone has the bare minimum which has now become the norm - a cable, ejector pin, manual and the phone itself. The raised lenses gives comparison to that of the brand's flagship phones and looks beautifully presented with much more. The biometrics security was good; I was able to have it register my fingerprint and in an instant it unlocked, whereas the face recognition wasn't as quick and does become frustrating at times. Setting up the phone was relatively easy and I was able to transfer my data over within the hour and have the phone customised to my preference. The battery life was very good and does last me almost throughout the day which is a bonus in contrast to my previous one. The size of the phone is 6.4 inches which is a standard size, it fits in my hand perfectly and doesn't feel big in my palms. The quality of the screen was sharp as I would expect from Samsung, the resolution is vivid and you can adjust the quality alongside the refresh rate to save battery. The camera quality was as good as the my partners s23+, not all the time but when taking still photos I couldn't tell which one was of better quality. Overall, for the price tag it is a must for those who don't want to pay for the flagship, this definitely rivals those.

I have been using this phone for a good 7 days now and it's simply fantastic.The phone is a bit on heavy side and feels stable and sturdy in the hands. The bezel is a bit thick and gives a solid feel when holding it.The aesthetics of the phone to look are very nice with rounded edges and linear camera slots. The phone operated quite well and loaded fast compared to my old phones and the transfer from older device is very quick. The screen is very clear with dynamic AMOLED display as it is one of the first phones in my experience that did well in really bright outdoors. It is also good on eyes at night times with eye comfort shield. Coming to the best part is the Camera which is very good with 50MP camera . My daughter couldn't believe her eyes with the clarity of her pic and was super excited about her pic. It's very good at taking clear videos even in low light conditions. I really like this feature as I would say the nightography system is one of the best out there and not even in some premium phones.The colour and clarity in night pics and videos are very good with very minimal noise. The processor is very good and sorted even the largest videos very quickly . I can work on multiple apps at the same time with almost no lag . It comes with fast charging which saves lot of time and also the wireless charging which is a real bonus for me. The loud speaker is very good and I liked it as I tend to use my phone on loud speaker a lot. It has a nice battery of 4500mAh and is lasting 2 days with moderate use .The memory is large and have enough space for all my apps and decent space for the pics. On the whole, I like this phone very much and recommend it to anyone looking for a premium phone as it's a good option with its low price tag and premium features. The icing on the cake is the 3 yr warranty it comes with and IP68 certificate which makes it a good buy.
