Very Bright
My first non dry cell Flashlight. This Flashlight has a very bright illumination which works perfectly in dark spaces. Love the small size. Easy to charge. I want to order one for my Wife.

Sold flashlilght, a little bit pricy
The NEXTORCH ED10 is a solid EDC style flashlight. Inside the package, there is the flashlight with 18650 2600mAh flat-top Li-ion rechargeable battery, one usb-c charging cable, one lanyard and one carry pouch. There are no spare orings like most other flashlights and it can't attach any pocket clip. It uses TIR len which gives pretty bloody beam, I can't tell what kind of LED behind the len, but it does have very cold temperature tint. The build quality is excellent, and the operation interface is as simple as it could be. On the other side of the switch, there is USB-C charging port to charge the battery, there is no need to buy charger. The pouch is one I like the most, I actually have a couple of them, they're very good carry pouch for 18650 and 21700 battery size flashlights. It's on the a little bit expensive side comparing to similar flashlights coming from reputable budget flashlight manufacturers, but I have no doubt it's excellent quality product.

Solid and bright light, with some shortcomings
Pro's:- Solid and well-made light, with textured anodized aluminum shell and smooth threads- "Semi-tactical" style, single-diameter cylindrical body- Side switch (which I consider better than end switch for police, security, and personal protection)- Relatively small, at almost 4-1/2" and almost 1" diameter- Very bright, although I have no way of confirming the 1400-lumen claim- Rechargeable, via USB type-C cable (supplied)- Nice nylon carry hook-and-loop belt holster and lanyard included- TIR lens for light controlCons:- Proprietary 2600mAh battery (marked 18650, and appears to be unprotected)- Gets hot fairly quickly- Unknown, inaccessible emitter- A little heavy (and long) for pocket carry- Needs Instant-on feature- Strobe is impractical for self-defense, since it's an additional 3 presses after light comes onSummarizing:This is a well-designed and well-made light, which many will find very useful. Police, night watchmen, security, and first responders come to mind. For some of us, though, there are smaller lights that weigh next to nothing and produce very surprising amounts of light for half the price - do an Amazon search for Rovyvon, Tunenge, etc. This light is what I would call a thrower, although with a wide spot (hotspot about 24" at 10') and good fill. For my purposes a flood is more useful, so this isn't my favorite light, but it might be a good compromise between a thrower and a flood for many users. In any case, it's a dazzlingly bright light.I find the 2sec. delay turning on the light to be a negative, since immediate light is often needed, and if needed for self defense, the strobe is so difficult to get to that it's almost useless.Although not my personal favorite flashlight, it's a great tool and I can see where others might find it very useful, but the negatives still take away a star.

Let down by bad user interface, everything else is good
This light makes me sad, because it's so close to being good. The build quality is good, it uses a nice TIR lens to get a very useful beam shape that's free of any ugly artifacts, the button feels good and it's a complete package with a decent 18650 cell included, onboard charging, and even a nice holster. The problem is that actually using the light is really annoying. To turn the light on or off, you have to hold the button down for two seconds. The light always comes on in high mode. You can flip through high, medium, low and strobe (in that order) by clicking the button while the light is on. There are no shortcuts whatsoever. It might sound like it's not a big deal, but using this light for any amount of time just makes me want to go get a different light. Most lights in this category let you click once for on, click twice for max output, and hold down the button for low. That way you can get to the mode you want without a lot of messing around, and you can get it without having to wait for two seconds every time. And if a non-tactical light like this has to have a strobe, please, please hide it somehow and don't put it in the main rotation of modes. The only thing this needs to be an easy 4 or 5 stars for the price is a better UI. For now, I would pick something else.

Very bright yet compact and long lasting- great for car and home.
When they say it's bright, they're right. There's a video added here to compare it to a bright handheld type I picked up locally, that I thought was pretty bright. This 4TOOL blows that flashlight away.(A quick caution- in the video demo, near the end, there's about 3 seconds where the STROBE function is shown, so be aware if that's a health concern.)Big pluses for this flashlight are evident. It's powered by an 18650 battery that can be recharged by plugging it into a USB port- so no more dead batteries when you need a flashlight the most. The capacity of that battery is much, much higher than a typical triple AAA battery setup. At the same time, this light is smaller than those types, fits well in the hand. There's several modes- three levels of brightness, and a "strobe" mode. The "very bright" mode lit up my whole basement from pitch blackness. I could see why police might carry a light like this. The lower power modes let you adjust to what you might need/want in any given situation, and its small size makes it easy to carry- or fit in a car tray or compartment. Most modern cars have USB charging ports, and/or USB charging adapters can be plugged into a cigarette lighter/auxillary port instead. That makes it great for a car.I like the idea of having one of these at bedside just in case. Besides everyday use, if things go bump in the night, this light is bright enough to disorient anyone unwelcome; the built in strobe would certainly dissuade a prowler or animal.Lots of light power in a little package, easy to recharge, adjustable settings- a definite value at it's price. In the long run, the 18650 battery would be more economical than replacing batteries. I'm very pleased with this 4TOOL light. I'm definitely getting a second one.
