I use it with a rectangular hot cast iron grill plate. Gently lay the hot meat press on top of a steak and sear both sides at the same time. Works for me! Sturdy casting at a fair price.

Does exactly as advertised- great weight - cool handle - easy clean - great for burgers, steaks, hard vegetables etc.

Works well and easy to use. Handle stays cool in use. Instructions say don’t clean in a dishwasher, believe them otherwise you will own a very rusty press.

If You are looking for a press for sandwiches this item gets the job done done it was a real heavy press when used it at home it left my sandwich as if I pressed it on a industrial press. But the only reason I didn’t give it a 5/5 is because it rusted and fairly easy if u clean it or liquid fall on it make sure You dry it as soon as possible bc it rust quickly but other than that a good product.

This grill press performed perfectly the first time we tried bacon our new Blackstone griddle. Please note the seasoning instructions on the tag on the handle before using since this is cast iron. We have always done the bacon on paper towels in the microwave which I like perfectly crisp (kind of flat and cardboard looking but I hate ripply uncooked fat). This grill press cooks the bacon evenly and it’s more normal looking than the microwave method The only comment I have is that the bacon has a saltier taste using the meat press instead of the paper towels (I think the towels absorb some of the salt). My husband loves it. Overall, this is an attractive grill press with the Jim Beam logo on it. It does it’s job and is easy to clean.

Delighted with my purchase, especially considering the low price.This is a very high quality press. Cast iron is heavy duty, as is the handle and hardware. I like that the handle is made of metal, so it’s easy to clean. It comes pre-seasoned and ready to use.I’ve seen some feedback complaining of rust in the corners. Rust will happen to ALL cast iron if not properly cleaned and cared for. Rust in the corners isn’t the fault of the product, it’s a result of short-cutting the cleaning process.Highly recommend and will not hesitate to gift these to my grilling/cooking enthusiasts friends.
