Tape up the outer sides of your box before you open it so you have storage for the roll later. It's a handy magnetic strip easy to cut to size with household scissors. Adhesive is well made. Consider the weight of your project though, this won't hold everything.

Old fridge won't close due to door magnet no longer sticking. Installed the magnetic tape on top of the old magnetic strip and voila, my fridge has new life!

ok the backing works but the magnet sucks I have a few remotes with magnets inside them and they stick to my metal end table and don't fall but my ac remote and TV remote doesnt so i wanted this to add a magnet to them so they wont fall when i bump the table and they stay where i put them

Not bad, It’s not the strongest magnet but combined with command strips it worked great for a renter friendly way to hang posters on the wall without damaging the wall or poster. Comes with a good amount for the price end the sticky adhesive backing is pretty strong.

Purchased the roll so I could cut what I needed to size (a plus). It does have magnetic ability, but not much. Wanted to hang up a cheap, Dollar Store, lightweight, small dry erase board by attaching four 1" strips in each corner and it couldn't keep it attached to my refrigerator. So, might be great for craft projects that weigh next to nothing (like fridge magnets), but not very useful for other than featherweight items. I should probably give it more stars because the description may have indicated it was for craft projects and that is not what I used it for.
