Versatile, Reliable, Feels Good in the Hands. These are the ones you want.
If you are a Hobbyist, buy these. Skip the cheaper ones you can find. These were so good, that I ended up buying a size up, and an extra pair so I always have one in reach. These are a must have whenever I work on my 3d printers, Electronics etc.Pros- High quality and durable- Versatile and compatible with various connector types (JST, Molex, etc)- Precise and consistent crimping results- Comfortable handle / Feel Good to Use- Easy to use- High level of controlCons:- Expensive compared to others- You might need some practice before you master them (due to them being completely manual)- Doesn't work with barrel connectors (IE Spade, etc) that you commonly find at local hardware storesAdditional Details:2 versions of these pliers exist, Taiwan and Japanese made. I've had both in my hands but of different sizes. The Japanese ones are subjectively better, but I wouldn't return the Taiwanese ones. The only major difference is that the Japanese ones have the crimped connectors slide out easier. There are some minor visual differences as well.I mostly view these as a hobbyist tool, if I were using these everyday 9 to 5, I think I might get something else. They are very much a "do it once, do it right, take some more time to do it" type of tool instead of churning out millions of connectors. Though I'm unaware of anything better, these are just so dang good.

Best crimper
I have used a variety of crimpers and have not been happy with them. After reading a number of reviews and watching several Youtube videos on the topic, I bought these. These are by far the best. They are the easiest to get a good result, and I have so far not made a bad connection using them. They come with detailed instructions in the card portion of the blister pack. You might want to save the instructions.Additionally, after using these for several hours: I now look forward to crimping. I have had a few failures from squeezing too hard, and a few from not squeezing hard enough, but the vast majority are perfect crimps the first attempt. I didn't realize that my experience with other crimpers had made me afraid of crimping. Now I enjoy it. This is a fantastic tool. It was more than I wanted to spend, but was worth every penny.

Excellent one and it’s Made in Japan
This made in Japan version is an authentic Engineer precision PA-09. Please Don’t be full by the Made in Taiwan version. My first order on Amazon was fulfilled by one of the sellers from Japan, but it was made in Taiwan, so I immediately know this was fake and return it. Thus, I reached out to another seller based in the United States and it was confirmed he had Made In Japan version which is true authentic. ( why? When you buy it from other parts stores, it’s all made in Japan)The tool is excellent to crimp all kind of connectors, after I received it today, I had already crimped 20 JST-XH connectors without any issue.

Best and most affordable tool for JST contacts
The official tool for crimping JST is very expensive (i.e. close to $1000). This alternative tool is top quality and affordable. The metal is expertly and precisely shaped and the unit well built. It does an excellent job of crimping. Granted you have to squeeze/crimp twice (one for connection, one for insulation) but this is a small price to pay given the affordability of this tool. Be careful with the super small micro/pico/nano connectors that fit in the smallest slot (i.e. the 1.0 slot). This tool will crimp them but watch some videos on youtube first. You have to take some extra care with the smallest connectors otherwise they will bend. I think I burned through around 10 SZH-002T-P0.5 contacts before I got the hang of it but it's doable. I will be paying attention to any other tools this company offers because somebody over there knows what they are doing.

Best ever for JST SXA-01T-P0.6 terminals
I crimp a lot of JST Type H Series XA terminals, and have the manufacturer's $600 crimpers, as well as Tyco equivalent crimpers. The PA-21 works far better, easier. It does require two crimps for one terminal, but it's so much easier to do, and so far I have not had any terminals bend the way the official crimpers will if you don't get the terminal placed just so.Now, to get my company to buy me a pair for work....
