I went to culinary school and love to cook. I have never roasted garlic but have heard that it’s amazing so when I saw this garlic roaster I decided to give it a try. This little cast iron garlic roaster is a heavy piece of cookware and is very well made. It roasted my garlic perfectly making it smooth enough to spread on my bread. I love this cast iron garlic roaster and the fact that I can easily roast garlic with it. If you love garlic and cast iron then this cast iron garlic roaster is for you!

At the time of review, this was around $30 which seems a fair price for something you'll literally have forever if you don't drop it.I'm new to roasting garlic- I didn't even realize that was a thing until recently. I've just been mincing raw garlic, searing in a pan and adding to food. I had no idea you could roast a pile of garlic and have it as a paste to add to things. Pretty cool and really changes the flavor as well for more variety.I'm a big fan of cast iron, my daily use cast iron pans are over 100 years old. I've been roasting garlic in those with aluminum foil added for a lid. I really prefer not to use a lot of aluminum foil though, so this is a good choice for me. If you are roasting garlic in the peel, you'll likely just have to wipe this out with a bit of oil after cooking. Really easy to care for.

This is good cast iron. A nice thick and heavy piece of equipment. I don't do a lot of roasted garlic so I haven't been using it, but once I get into the habit of it I know it will hold up and do its job.

This is a quality, heavy-duty item, with a nicely designed style. The fact that it is pre-seasoned saves times and is extremely helpful. It is also a unique size, the perfect portion for putting in meats or vegetables for a single person. It is relatively easy to clean as well and does not take up much storage space. It is versatile, and can easily be put on the grill or in the oven, and both cooking approaches give different but excellent flavors without any mess!

It's a fine product, but it's not especially high quality (I mean it's cast iron, what do you expect) but the price is pretty steep for what it is.

First of all, this thing is just pretty. Second I love that you can roast small things in here. Cast iron isn’t cheap, but it’ll last a couple hundred years

great for roasting garlic or really anything you can fit in it, like the potato shown.

I used this to roast garlic in and it works so well! Would make a cute individual bread baker too!
