It lathers well and is thick consistency. Smells nice without being overwhelming. Lasts a long time as you don’t have to use a lot.

Really nice shampoo. I like the smell too. It smells "fresh". I decided to change from my usual brand to this (identified on the EWG database) because I was shedding loads of hair, and my scalp felt sensitive and sometimes itchy. This shampoo helped alleviate this after two washes and at first glance I think I am shedding less hair. Will need more time to assess this better.

I bought this product this week (2/12/2017) after reading the reviews being so great. My review is a first impression review, since I have only used it once. I will come back and update it once I use it more.After my third baby, my hair began thinning out and falling out. Like literally, I would wash my hair and a handful would come out...then I would brush my hair and a handful would come out. I would take it out of a hair tie and a ton of hair would come with it...I WOULD RUN MY FINGERS THROUGH MY HAIR AND IT WOULD JUST FALL OUT. It's was terrifying. On top of it all, I have always had dry scalp/flake issues, but it was getting bad. My husband even commented on it, and he is usually pretty careful about his words. ;) I'm the biggest "yeah right" person when scrolling through reviews, and I always second guess purchasing items I've never heard of but I was desperate to not be bald AND have such a dry scalp.I have used this shampoo once (wash, rinse and repeat) and the B-Complex thickening conditioner (as per directions) and my hair feels clean and normal again. I'll have one or two stands come out, but that's normal and this is the clearest my scalp has been in 10 years. I'm not exaggerating. If this shampoo continues to do what it did, it will be the only shampoo I ever buy.Additional information: I do not wash my hair every day, it is typically on the dry side/not oily, I do not color my hair and it gets very minimal forced heat. I also wear my hair up out of my face most of the time.

My child has been genetically "gifted" with his fathers seborrheic dermatitis on his scalp. We are a "clean" family and I usually craft our own shampoo. However, it became a bit time consuming crafting several shampoos every month. I ordered this understanding the basis of the ingredients~This hit all the marks. My teen loves this shampoo, I do as well. He has stopped scratching his scalp at the end of the day. He can even skip the blow drying without any risk of inflammation throughout the day.

The bottle arrived on time. The bottle leaked some. There was no seal on the bottle, like it has already been opened. Usually when I get liquid it is wrapped in plastic.

I love the smell of this. I needed something to help with my child’s thick dandruff. After using it a couple times a week it started clearing up in less than two weeks. Great product.

I started using this product a a little over a week ago. I bought the shampoo and the conditioner because I'm switching all my products to natural /organic /vegan ones so it doesn't harm the environment or my body. This was the first natural shampoo I've tried.The shampoo itself is very astringent. My hair is very fine and once I put it on, my hair fells like rubber. It would be ok if the conditioner fixed it later, but that's not what happens. The conditioner doesn't do much. When I try to comb my hair, it's extremely tangled and not soft.I usually wash my hair every other day, and sometimes I even skip 2 days without washing it. But with this product, if I wash my hair in the morning, at night it will feel like it's dirty again.To make things worse, my scalp, the back of my neck, and the area behind my ears started itching, as if I had spent many days without washing my hair. At first I thought it was just dirty and I should just wash it. But then I started washing it pretty much every day, and the reaction just got worse.I just used some allergy cream (at least on my neck and back of ears, since the scalp has hair and it's hard to use creams...) and I'm hoping it's gonna help the itchy feeling. It's driving me crazy. I've never had allergies to any personal care products before. I'm surprised a "natural, organic, non gmo" product gave me that reaction.Unfortunately, this product is not eligible for returning. So it will just need to go to trash. Very disappointed.

This is great shampoo especially for people with itchy scalps. It "calms" the scalp as you scrub and does not seem to strip the hair. I think it is very good at curing and controlling dandruff, which I have developed inside my ears and around the hairline behind one ear. After using this shampoo just once I experienced an improvement with both my ears and hair. Feeling encouraged, I went to the drugstore and purchased Lotrimin Ultra, applied a dab to the end of a q-tip and gently placed it in my ear. Now, I am finally getting some relief. I believe the shampoo is helping as much as the Lotrimin Ultra.In addition after I shampoo with Avalon Organics Tea Tree Mint, I use a couple drops of Wen conditioner which I leave in my hair. Before discovering Avalon Shampoo, I had been using Wen Tea Tree which did not work for me nearly as well as this Avalon Tea Tree. Although Wen did restore the quality of my hair, and I'm not sure if the Avalon could do likewise. But with my hair being in pretty good shape using Avalon followed by a drop of Wen is working out great. I now see the light at the end of the tunnel in curing the dandruff in my ears. Really like this shampoo!
