A lot more useful than I expected.
Makes soldering two wire together a lot easier than the little black 'third hand' device I have owned for more than 40 years. While that little device is great for bench work, this tool flows better with construction type work, where you aren't at a bench.

Looks great. Haven't used it yet
Looks like a great tool for the money. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I haven't used it yet.

Just what I needed to hold wires!
After toting around a clunky and irritating wire holder with insulation-damaging alligator clips for years, I’ve tossed that and have started using this. Much easier to use, and fits inside a pouch in my tool bag! Also serves as a heat sink of sorts to keep from melting the insulation or pre-shrinking any heat shrink tubing I have sitting on the wire nearby waiting to cover the soldered joint. My tool bag just got at least one pound lighter thanks to this nifty tool!

This one of those
"why didn't I think of that" tools. Works great when soldering. Nice to have a third hand.

DISSAPOINTMENT
I was so excited when I first saw these because I didn't like using alligator clips with the HF stand. I had two wires ready to be soldered. But, I immediately ran into trouble. Neither side of the pliers were strong enough to hold the wire. Fortunately, I had a couple clothes pins handy and they helped hold the wires. I may drill a hole in the spring blade, then a smaller one through the main blade and put an adjustment screw. Or, find more clothes pins.

Kinda works.
I got these because I shake, I needed something I could set still when I’m not in my shop. Holding the wires just wasn’t cutting it. They are not disability compatible, if you don’t have hands they won’t work. I’ve been practicing soldering with my feet and I got burned more than a few times. So I had to go back to using my hands.

I get how they work.
Anything that helps with those pesky soldering jobs. I have used a "third hand" in the past and it works some of the time but sometimes no. Allways willing to try out a new tool and the price is not out of line.

Doesn't hold wires firmly
The pliers are solid, but have two major caveats: one of the clips that's supposed to hold wires in place is way too far from the jaw to actually hold anything (especially thinner wires like 22AWG) and there's no way to adjust them, and the locking feature only locks properly in one direction - in the other direction it can move easily.
