This lamp makes things so much better. It seems to me that everything is printed with way smaller font nowadays, used to be the standard minimum was around 8 pt. now its more like 4 pt. When I buy a new product I can't even read the instructions that come with it because the print is way too small even with my glasses. But this is a game changer, I can read everything now, and I rarely even turn the lamp on, the lens does the job just fine with my room lighting. Solidly built, folds out of the way fairly simply, and quite simple to attach to your desk or table. I did not get the optional table stand for it so I can't comment on that. I've only used the light a couple times and the brightness is good, the color temperatures seem like they would work in any different setup, I just use the bright white. I would definitely recommend this magnifier lamp for anyone that has trouble reading small print.

This is awesome for painting small figurines. It is much better than I expected. This allows me to see my work clearly. I think it is well worth the price. It is very bright and you can change the brightness. The magnifier helps a lot as well. I also like the fact that I can connect it to the desk so that it doesn’t move. It is perfect!

My wife attached this lighted magnifying unit to her jewelry construction cart. Because of the somewhat limited movement of the supporting arm, she was limited in locations for mounting. The mounting bracket does allow mounting in three planes. However, the arm moves basically forward and back along a 360° arc. The magnifying glass and light also rotate 360° and move independently of the arm about 180° along a plane. The two beam arm construction limits movement to forward and back along about a 180° plane. The arms can be tightened to hold their positions at the pivot points. The movement mechanism does restrict mounting locations; however, you should be able to find a suitable mounting location that will work quite well. The light and magnifying end work well allowing you to read small print or perform delicate work on fine precise pieces such as the one pictured. The magnifying glas includes 2 magnification powers with the more powerful magnification being a small circle inside the lesser magnification glass. It also includes 5 degree or light color selections to help create the best light for your work. I think you will find this unit a great help when doing fine, delicate and small work.

Works as expected

Smaller than the old style magnifiers. Glass itself is 4" across. Still better than using readers for close up work. Totally adjustable light strengths as well as color hue. Can be mounted to a horizontal or vertical service.
